Naval Reserve (New Zealand), to date 1st May, 1939.

to approve of the following appointments, promotions,
transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the
New Zealand Military Forces :-
STAFF AND COMMANDS.
Major H. D. McHugh, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes
the appointment of Assistant Adjutant and Quartermaster
General, Northern Military District, Auckland. Dated
16th April, 1939.
Major W. Murphy, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes
the appointment of Commandant, Northern Military
District School of Instruction, Narrow Neck, and is
appointed Assistant Adjutant and Quartermaster-General,
Northern Military District, Auckland. Dated 17th April,
1939.
Major G. Dittmer, M.B.E., M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes
the appointment of Area Staff Officer, No. 1 Area, Auckland,
and is appointed Commandant, Northern Military District
School of Instruction, Narrow Neck. Dated 18th April,
1939.
Major C. H. Beach, Corps of N.Z. Engineers, relinquishes
command of the 2nd Field Company and is transferred
to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 5. Dated
26th April, 1939.
REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Captain C. A. N. Pilcher, from the Reserve of Officers, to
be Captain, with seniority from 21st July, 1937, is posted
to the 1st Artillery Brigade Group (supernumerary to
establishment) and is attached to Headquarters, Northern
Military District, for duty as Publicity Officer. Dated
26th April, 1939.
The undermentioned Lieutenants to be Captains :-
S. Hardy, 5th Field Battery. Dated 1st January, 1939.
H. G. Thomas, 15th Heavy Battery. Dated 2nd April,
1939.
Trevor Raeburn Atchley to be 2nd Lieutenant and is posted
to Headquarters, 1st Artillery Brigade Group. Dated
1st March, 1939.
CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.
Lieutenant A. H. Jones, 2nd Field Company, to be Captain
Dated 1st April 1939.
THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY'S OWN).
Captain D. McF. Rae, 1st Battalion, is posted to the Retired
List with permission to retain his rank and wear the
prescribed uniform. Dated 1st May, 1939.
The undermentioned Officers, 1st Battalion, are transferred
to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 1 :-
Captain K. C. Reid. Dated 1st May, 1939.
