Crown Land set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—BOROUGH OF TE AROHA.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods 7-4 perches, more or less, being part Section 17a, Block IX, Aroha Survey District, bounded towards the south-east generally by Ema Street, 288-99 links; towards the east generally by Section 17a and Section 17b 5, aforesaid Block IX, 820-65 and 601-50 links; towards the north-east and north-west generally by other part Section 17b aforesaid, 274° 17' 20", 200-03 links; 290° 49' 10", 319-34 links; 190° 45' 30", 545-03 links; 199° 18' 10", 538-49 links; towards the south generally by Section 30, Block LXIII, Town of Te Aroha, 300-22 links; and towards the south-east, west, and south-west generally by Gilchrist Street; be all the aforesaid measurements more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 9/648, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of April, 1939.

Land set apart as an Endowment for Secondary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the piece of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to or intersecting the endowment for secondary education described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said endowment.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 204, Tarurutangi District, Block XI, Paritutu Survey District: Area, 2 acres 0 roods 22-8 perches, more or less.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 350 acres 3 roods 8-6 perches, more or less, being part Section 32, Tarurutangi District, Blocks X and XI, Paritutu Survey District: Bounded towards the north by Section 31; towards the east by Sections 36, 37, part 38, 39, 40, and 41; towards the south by Sections 33 and 28; and towards the west by Mangaoraka Stream, Lot 2, D.P. 4874, part Section 204, and Upland Road; all the above being situated in Tarurutangi District; excepting portions of the aforesaid Section 204 and Upland Road which are included within the above-described boundaries; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/820A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of May, 1939.

Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1924.
[L.S.] GALWAY, Governor-General.
A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1607, set apart by Proclamation dated the eleventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and gazetted on the fourteenth day of that month, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area of national-endowment land containing 192 acres, more or less, being part of Provisional State Forest No. 1607, situated in Block XII, Pohaturoa Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of Block XII, Pohaturoa Survey District, distant 20 chains due south from the left bank of the Upper Grey River; thence in a south-westerly direction by a line parallel to and 20 chains distant from the said left bank of the Upper Grey River to its intersection with the south-western boundary of Provisional State Forest 1607; thence in a north-westerly direction along that boundary to a point 20 chains north-west from the right bank of the Upper Grey River; thence in a north-easterly direction by a line parallel to and distant 20 chains from the said right bank of the Upper Grey River to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Block XII, Pohaturoa Survey District; thence due south by that boundary to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 8/7/19A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of May, 1939.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Settlement Land in the Taranaki Land District for Selection by Discharged Soldiers under Special Tenures.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Amendment Act, 1919, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the twelfth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the Gazette of the eighteenth day of April, then instant, setting apart lands for selection by discharged soldiers under special tenures under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.
SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
SECTION 48, Croydon Settlement, Block IX, Huiroa Survey District: Area, 80 acres 3 roods.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of May, 1939.
