Settlement Land in Auckland Land District proclaimed to be Ordinary Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section forty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, as amended by subsection one of section ten of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1935, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any settlement land to be, inter alia, ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is settlement land within the meaning of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section forty-nine, amended as aforesaid, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WAIPA COUNTY.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 438 acres 0 roods 17 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks XI and XV, Maungatautari Survey District, being Section 25a, Tauri Settlement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L and S. 26/645a, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plan S.O.14694.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of May, 1939.

And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto are settlement lands within the meaning of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and it is deemed expedient that the said lands shall cease to be settlement lands and become ordinary Crown lands available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section forty-nine, amended as aforesaid, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Orini Settlement.—Whakatane County.

SECTIONS 1s, 2s, and 4s: Area, 277 acres 3 roods 22 perches. Part Section 5s: Area, 71 acres 2 roods 34 perches.

All in Blocks III and IV, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District.

As the same are more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 36/1387 “A,” deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plan S.O. 23274.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of May, 1939.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 2nd day of May, 1939.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in section three of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby abolish the Steward Settlement Water-race District.

Amending Order in Council delegating Powers under the Cemeteries Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 2nd day of May, 1939.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Cemeteries Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke in so far as it relates to the Rongotea Cemetery the Order in Council delegating powers under the said Act made on the eighteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-first day of the same month, at page 2429.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Cemeteries Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke in so far as it relates to the Martinborough Cemetery, the Order in Council delegating powers under the said Act made on the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, and published in the Gazette on the third day of May of the same year, at page 1217.
