Amending the Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces.
AMENDMENT No. 47.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto the Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces, published in the Gazette dated the sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five.
SCHEDULE.
Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces.
- This regulation may be cited as the Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces, 1925, Amendment No. 47.
- This regulation shall be read together with and form part of the Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces, 1925 (hereinafter called “the principal regulations”).
- This regulation shall come into force on the day following notification in the Gazette of the making thereof.
- Regulation 199 of the principal regulations as amended in Gazette No. 40, dated 25th May, 1933, is revoked and the following substituted:—
“199. Pay during sick-leave shall be in accordance with the following Schedule:—

| Over ten years and under | 4 months | 4 months. |
| twenty years | ||
| Over twenty years and under | 5 months | 8 months. |
| thirty years | ||
| Over thirty years | 6 months | 12 months. |
No exception will be made in the foregoing Schedule, except in the following cases:—
(a) Sickness resulting directly from the conditions under which the officer or soldier was working.
(b) Injury sustained by the officer or soldier in the discharge of his duties and through no fault of his own.
(c) Disability arising out of war service.
(d) Absence through illness or disability caused by misconduct or venereal disease will be without pay.
In the exceptional cases mentioned above, the matter will be dealt with on its merits as approved by the Minister of Defence.”

Leslie Nathaniel Morris, of Rotorua, and
Norman Maui Rye, of Broadlands,
to be officers for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act in respect of the Rotorua Acclimatization District.
