A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section forty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, as amended by subsection one of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1935, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any settlement land to be, inter alia, national-endowment land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that the lands described in the Schedule hereto and which are settlement lands within the meaning of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, shall cease to be settlement lands and become national-endowment lands available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section forty-nine, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof, the lands described in the Schedule hereto, shall be national-endowment lands available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—GLADBROOK SETTLEMENT.
Section 43s : Area, 537 acres 2 roods 25 perches.
Section 44s : Area, 511 acres 3 roods 11 perches.
Section 45s : Area, 705 acres 2 roods 23 perches.
Section 46s : Area, 454 acres 3 roods 35 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of April, 1939.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 10·9 perches. Being portion of part Section 28, Motueka District.
Situated in Block X, Kaiteriteri Survey District (Nelson R.D.). (S.O. 9057.)
In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 101495, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of April, 1939.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of April, 1939.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize Edward A. Robson, of Waiau, Service-station Proprietor (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on the following conditions.

CONDITIONS.
- PURPOSES OF LINES.
THE said lines may be used for lighting purposes.
- LICENSE TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.
The license hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 1935, the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.
The conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this license except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
The system of supply shall be classified under paragraph (j) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935.
- GENERATING VOLTAGE.
Electrical energy shall be generated and transmitted at a pressure of 32 volts direct current between terminals.
- DURATION OF LICENSE.
Unless sooner lawfully determined, this license shall continue in force until the 5th day of November, 1956, or until electrical energy is available from an Electric-power Board or other general public source, whichever is the earlier.
- CHARGES ON SALE.
(a) The licensee shall not in respect of electrical energy distributed under the authority of this license make any charges exceeding the sum of 1s. 6d. per unit for lighting purposes.
(b) Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions the licensee may in the case of any supply make such minimum charge as may be authorized by the regulations.

SCHEDULE.
LINES adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for the transmission of electricity leading from the generating station, situated in Lot 1, D.P. 4269, to the hall on Section 91, Square IV, all being situated in Block XIII, Township of Waiau, Waiau Survey District, in the Land District of Canterbury, the same being more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 87551, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
