Authorizing the Acquisition of Land notwithstanding the Provisions as to Limitation of Area.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 13th day of December, 1939.

Present:

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to, and the acquisition by, Afforestation Proprietary, Limited, of the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XII of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land containing 136 acres, more or less, situated in the Wairariki Native Land Court District, known as Tauhara North No. 3A Block, and being the whole of the land comprised in Partition Order of the Native Land Court dated 27th day of September, 1939.

Cancelling the Vesting of a Reserve in the Ohakune Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 13th day of December, 1939.

Present:

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve vested in the Ohakune Borough Council for gravel purposes:

And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Ohakune Borough Council has duly consented to such cancellation:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Ohakune Borough Council of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Borough of Ohakune, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods, more or less, being part of Section 7, Ohakune Village Settlement, Block V, Karioi Survey District: Bounded, towards the north-east by Lots 2 and 4 on D.P. 7513, 810-58 links; towards the south-east by Miro Street, 623-64 links; towards the south-west by part of Section 6, Ohakune Village Settlement, 788-39 links; towards the north-west by Mangawhero Terrace, 190-59 links; towards the north-east, north-west, and south-west by other part of the said Section 7, Ohakune Village Settlement, distance 270-92 links bearing 131° 44′ 15″; distance 181-89 links bearing 41° 44′ 15″; distance 276-99 links bearing 311° 44′ 15″; and again towards the north-west by Manga-who Terrace, 251-57 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked J. and S. 1913/16843, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

George McKeage,
Clarence Arthur Stanley Watson,
Ernest Edward Andrews,
John Robert Elms,
William Thomas Lowe,
William Ronald McKeage, and
Henry Thomas Stephens

to be the Hinds No. 2 Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Sports Pavilion, Hinds No. 2 Domain, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

RESERVE NO. 1262, Block VI, Hinds Survey District: Area, 9 acres 2 roods 33 perches, more or less.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Robert John Ure,
Harold Lawrence Walker,
James Wallace,
George Lewis, and
William Charles Jacobsen

to be the Tututawa Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the seventeenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Tututawa Town Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
