The South-eastern Side of Portion of Radnor Street in the City of Dunedin, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of October, 1939.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the seventeenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, viz:-
"That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the south-eastern side of portion of Radnor Street abutting on Allotments 5-10, Block XII, Township of Ascotvale";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-eastern side of the portion of Radnor Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE south-eastern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, fronting Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block XII, D.P. 879, Township of Ascotvale, being part Section 26, North-east Valley District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 104037, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Vesting Crown Land in Block VI, Maungatua Survey District, Otago Land District, in the Taieri River Trust as an Endowment.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section twenty-one of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby vest the Crown Land described in the Schedule hereto in the Taieri River Trust as an endowment.

Extending Time preventing Persons from applying for Receiver, &c., for Thames Harbour Board Loans.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of October, 1939.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section ten of the Thames Harbour Board Loans Adjustment Act, 1932-33, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby further extend until the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty, the time within which no person shall take any steps to enforce payment of the principal or interest of any of the loans referred to in the said section ten or any part of any such loans.

Appointing a Member of the Bluff Harbour Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty-seven of the Harbours Act, 1923, that in the case of the resignation of a member of a Harbour Board the vacancy created by his resignation shall be deemed to be an extraordinary vacancy: And whereas it is provided by subsection two of section thirty-eight of the said Act that, in the event of an extraordinary vacancy in the office of an elective member of the Board other than a representative of a constituent district the Governor-General may, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place: And whereas Charles Stephen Longuet, an elective member of the Bluff Harbour Board, being a representative of the combined district of the City of Invercargill and the Borough of South Invercargill, has resigned, and an extraordinary vacancy in the membership of the Board has thereby been created, and it is desirable to appoint some qualified person in his place: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby appoint
Josiah Ralph Hanan
to be a member of the Bluff Harbour Board as a representative of the combined district aforesaid in the place of Charles Stephen Longuet, resigned.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 29th day of September, 1939.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Waitotara County Council.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in the Waitotara County Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:- 1. The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.
2. The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve. Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible after the close of the year.
3. The said Council shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.
