Setting apart Native Land as a Native Reservation.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of September, 1939.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to subsection one of section eleven of the Native Purposes Act, 1937, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart and reserve the Native freehold land in the Schedule hereto as a Native Reservation for the common use of the Wairoa section of the Ngatikahungunu Maori Tribe, as a meeting-place.

Warden Appointed under the Mining Act, 1926.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of September, 1939.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section nine of the Mining Act, 1926, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, appoint fit persons to be Wardens, who shall hold office during the Governor-General’s pleasure :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by the said section nine of the Mining Act, 1926, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
George Galloway Chisholm, Esquire,
to be a Warden to hold and exercise the duties of such office under and subject to the provisions of the said Act during pleasure on and from the sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.

Appointing Official Member of Taranaki Maori Council.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the Maori Councils Act, 1900, and its amendments, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Fred Swindells
to be the Official Member of the Maori Council for the Taranaki Maori District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, this 26th day of September, 1939.

Appointment of State Iron and Steel Commissioner.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
PURSUANT to the authority vested in me by section three of the Iron and Steel Industry Act, 1937, providing for the appointment of Commissioners to exercise the powers and carry out the duties conferred and imposed on them by the said Act, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby nominate and appoint
George Augustus Pascoe
to be a Commissioner under the said Act and to hold office during my pleasure as from the date of this Warrant.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 22nd day of September, 1939.

Setting apart Unalienated Crown Land for Purposes of Part III (State Coal-mines) of the Coal-mines Act, 1925.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection one of section one hundred and sixty-seven of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the unalienated Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part III of the said Act, and do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the gazetting hereof.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of unalienated Crown land, in the Westland Land District, containing 30 perches, more or less, being Section 12, Block XL, Runanga Village Settlement, situated in the Borough of Runanga. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked N. 15/22, deposited in the Head Office of the Mines Department at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
All that area of unalienated Crown land, in the Westland Land District, containing 1 rood, more or less, being Section 3, Block XLIII, Runanga Village Settlement, situated in the Borough of Runanga. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked N. 15/22, deposited in the Head Office of the Mines Department at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 20th day of September, 1939.

Declaring Road-lines adjoining Land in Taniwha Settlement, Auckland Land District, to be closed, and the Land comprised therein to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that the said roads adjoin land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and are not suitable to the subdivision of such land :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and six of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby close the roads hereinafter described ; and I do hereby declare that the land comprised in the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.
