WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Stormwater Loan, 1939.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1928, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereto enabling, the
Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £33,630, authorized to be
raised by the Whangarei Borough Council under the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing storm-
water drainage, carrying out modifications to the
sanitary-sewer system and flood-protection works, the
construction of new bridges and approaches thereto, the
acquisition of the necessary land and the meeting of
the costs of surveys and fencing, the said Whangarei
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of nine-tenths of one penny (9/10ths) in the pound on
the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei,
comprising the whole of the Borough of Whangarei, and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and be payable on the
first day of June in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.
NOTICE TO DEBENTURE HOLDERS.
In the matter of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction
and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and the Christ-
church City Loans Conversion Order, 1934.
IN pursuance of section 16 (1) of the Christchurch City
Loans Conversion Order, 1934, and the terms under
which the securities authorized by the said Order were issued,
the Christchurch City Council, at its meeting held on the
31st day of July, 1939, resolved to exercise the option
contained in the debentures enumerated below and normally
maturing on the 31st day of March, 1940, and hereby gives
notice of its intention to redeem on the 31st day of March,
1940, debentures numbered three thousand three hundred
and sixty-five (3365) to three thousand five hundred and
twenty-seven (3527), three thousand five hundred and thirty
(3530) to three thousand five hundred and sixty (3560), and
three thousand five hundred and seventy-eight (3578), all numbers
inclusive, of the Christchurch City Conversion Loan, 1935,
and interest thereon will cease on the said 31st day of March,
1940.

NOTICE OF MEETING.
CREDITORS and shareholders of Glenroy Gold, Limited
(in Voluntary Liquidation), are hereby notified that in
conformity with section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, a
meeting of such creditors and shareholders will be held in
the offices of Wm. Jameson and Son, 213 Manchester Street,
Christchurch, on Monday, 25th September, at 4 p.m., to
receive the liquidator’s report and accounts.

has changed its name to De Luxe Cordials, Limited,
and that the new name was this day entered on my Register
of Companies in place of the former name.

COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSE
OF A ROAD.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and in the matter
of the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Coromandel County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Acts, to execute a public work—namely, the road
known as Topp’s Access Road—and for the purpose of such
work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
to be taken. Notice is further given that a plan (Survey
office 30142) of the land so required to be taken is deposited
in the Public Office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate
at the Council Chambers, Kapanga Road, Coromandel, and
is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during
ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution
of the said public work, or by the taking of such lands, who
have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the
said work, or to the taking of the said lands, must state their
objections in writing and send the same within forty days of
the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the
Council Chambers, Kapanga Road, Coromandel.

matter of H. DERBY AND COMPANY, LIMITED (in
Liquidation),
NOTICE is hereby given that the final general meeting
of members and creditors of the above-named company
will be held in the office of the undersigned, 37-39 Brougham
Street, New Plymouth, on Monday, the 2nd day of October,
1939, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of
receiving the liquidator’s accounts showing how the winding
up has been conducted and the property of the company
disposed of.
NOTE.—Creditors have been paid 20s. in the pound on all
admitted claims and a final dividend has been paid to share-
