Retirements of Officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve of the following appointments, promo-
tions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers
of the New Zealand Military Forces :—
STAFF.
The appointment of Lieutenant-Colonel A. C. McKillop,
M.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, as Assistant Director of Medical
Services, and O.C., N.Z.M.C., Southern Military District,
is extended to 24th November, 1939.
Major W. I. K. Jennings, D.S.O., N.Z. Staff Corps, relin-
quishes, at his own request, the appointment of Assistant
Adjutant and Quartermaster-General, Northern Military
District, and is posted to the Retired List with permission
to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform.
Dated 17th December, 1938.
REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Lieutenant D. B. Patterson, 20th Light Battery, is transferred
to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 1. Dated
9th November, 1938.
2nd Lieutenant C. D. Bell ceases to be posted to the 3rd Field
Battery, is posted to Headquarters, Medium Brigade, and
attached to the 3rd Artillery Brigade Group. Dated
7th November, 1938.
THE NORTH AUCKLAND REGIMENT.
Lieutenant I. S. McHarg, 3rd Cadet Battalion, is transferred
to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 1. Dated
21st November, 1938.
THE SOUTHLAND REGIMENT.
Lieutenant J. K. Robbie, seconded 2nd Composite Battalion,
to be Captain. Dated 6th October, 1938.
N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.
The undermentioned to be 2nd Lieutenants and are posted
to the 3rd Composite Company :—
Edward Hardon Lyndale Maxwell. Dated 26th August, 1938.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.
C. Walls, M.C., E.D., Chaplain, 2nd Class (Salvation Army),

New Zealand Honey Control Board.—Producers’ Representative
appointed.
I, ROBERT WILLIAMSON ATKINSON, Returning
Officer for the purposes of the Honey-export Control
Act, 1924, and regulations made thereunder, hereby declare—
Leonard Frederick Robins,
who was the only person nominated on the 21st day of
November, 1938, to be duly elected a producers’ representa-
tive on the Board for the biennial period ending the 31st
December, 1940.

Place, Sydney, New South Wales, a Solicitor of the
Supreme Court of New South Wales, has this day been
appointed by The Right Honourable Sir Michael Myers,
G.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, a Commissioner of
the Supreme Court of New Zealand in New South Wales
under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the
purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits,
and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.
