NIGHTCAPS TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Nightcaps Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan known as Main Highways Loan, 1937, of £800 authorized to be raised by the Nightcaps Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing the Town Board's share of the cost of sealing main highways in the Board's district and constructing a concrete bridge over the Wairo Stream, the said Nightcaps Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three hundred and sixty-eight one-thousandths of a penny (0·368d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Nightcaps Town District comprising the whole of such Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

It is hereby certified that the foregoing is a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Nightcaps Town Board at a meeting held on the 8th day of November, 1938.

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan known as Coronation Hall Extension Loan, 1937, of £1,000 authorized to be raised by the Nightcaps Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making extensions and improvements to the Coronation Hall, Nightcaps, the Nightcaps Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-seven one-hundredths of a penny (0·27d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Nightcaps Town District comprising the whole of such Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

It is hereby certified that the foregoing is a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Nightcaps Town Board at a meeting held on the 8th day of November, 1938.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of A. E. TATTLEY AND CO., LTD. (in Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of members of the above-named company will be held at the office of A. L. Pike, 4th Floor, Southern Cross Building, Chancery Street, Auckland, on Monday, 12th December, 1938, at 2.30 p.m., for the purpose of having laid before them an account showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted, and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanations that may be given by the liquidator.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, section 24 of the Health Act, 1920, and all other powers and authorities thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of eight thousand two hundred pounds (£8,200) authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of complying with a requisition from the Board of Health dated 20th day of December, 1937, to effect improvements to the public swimming-baths at Hobson Street, City, Parnell, and Shelly Beach, the said Auckland City Council doth hereby make and levy a special rate of one-thirteenth (1/13d.) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of annual value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that such special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Certified to be a true and correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 3rd day of November, 1938.
