NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company duly convened and held on the 8th day of November, 1938, the following special resolution was duly passed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1933, and that FRANK CUMMINGS LITCHFIELD, Public Accountant, Palmerston North, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding up.”

BOROUGH OF ASHBURTON.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Ashburton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 authorized to be raised by the Ashburton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for permanently sealing various streets throughout the Borough, the said Ashburton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5d. in the pound upon the annual rateable value of all rateable properties within the boundaries of the Borough of Ashburton, and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October, in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Ashburton Borough Council held on 20th June, 1938.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Flood-damage Repairs Loan, 1937.

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Buckley Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Flood-damage Repairs Loan, 1937, authorized to be raised by the Buckley Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the restoration of damage caused by flood, the Buckley Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Buckley Drainage District on the following scale:—

On lands classified “A” one-half (½d.) of a penny in the pound:

On lands classified “B” three-eighths (⅜d.) of a penny in the pound:

On lands classified “C” one-fourth (¼d.) of a penny in the pound:

and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years from the 1st day of August, 1937, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Buckley Drainage Board on Monday, the 2nd day of August, 1937.
