(5) No compensation to be claimed by the lessee nor any to be allowed on account of any improvements effected or paid for by the lessee nor for any other cause, but at the expiration or sooner determination of the lease the lessee to be entitled to and to be given reasonable time in which to remove fencing (except boundary fencing) or buildings belonging to him.

(6) Lessee to obtain the consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Blenheim, before effecting improvements.

(7) Lessee not to transfer, sublet, or otherwise dispose of the land without the written consent of the said Commissioner first had and obtained.

(8) Lessee not to crop or break up the land except with the consent of the said Commissioner.

(9) Lessee to be liable for payment of all rates, taxes, and other assessments levied against the land.

(10) Lessee to have no right to minerals on the land and to keep same free from noxious weeds and rabbits to the satisfaction of the said Commissioner.

(11) Lessee not to engage in any noxious, noisome, or offensive trade upon the land.

(12) Lessee to permit travelling stock to rest on the land on application, and on payment beforehand being made according to the following scale: Per head, per night:—

Horses and cattle, the first 10 .. .. 6
Above 10 and up to 50, inclusive .. .. 3
Above 50 .. .. .. .. 1
Sheep, the first 25 .. .. .. 1
Above 25 and up to 250 .. .. ½
250 and upwards .. .. .. ¼

(13) Lease to be subject to termination if the lessee fails to fulfil any of the conditions of the lease, whether expressed or implied, within thirty days after the date on which the same should be fulfilled.

(14) The purchaser of the lease to be the highest bidder at auction.

Form of lease may be perused and any further information required may be obtained at the office of the undersigned.
