LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding duplicate of lease of small grazing-run, Register-book Volume 322, folio 147, for Rural Sections 36222 and 36223, situate in Blocks VII, VIII, XI, and XII, Nimrod Survey District, whereof HAROLD LIVEING FENN, of Cave, Farmer, is the registered lessee, and application having been made to me for the issue of a provisional lease in lieu of the said outstanding duplicate I hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue such provisional lease at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

In the matter of the Religious, Charitable, and Educational Trusts Act, 1908, and in the matter of the trusts of the Will of RICHARD PALMER, of Feilding, Farmer, deceased.
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 8th day of August, 1938, Albert Hands White, of Palmerston North, Contractor, the Executor of the said Will, caused to be filed in the office of the Supreme Court at Palmerston North, a scheme providing for the payment over to Feltham Children's Home Trust Inc. of all moneys bequeathed by the terms of the said will to the Old Men's Home, Hunterville, upon the ground that such request was intended for Bethel Home, Hunterville, which has since the testator's death ceased to exist, so that the original purposes of such trust have become impracticable : And that the said scheme will be considered and dealt with by a Judge of the said Court at the Supreme Court House, at Palmerston North, on Monday, the 6th day of February, 1939, at 10.30 o'clock in the forenoon or so soon thereafter as counsel can be heard. The said scheme is open for inspection by the public at the office of the Registrar of the said Court at Palmerston North without fee or charge.

WAIROA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Wairoa County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of forty thousand pounds (£40,000) authorized to be raised by the Wairoa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing the Council's share of the cost of widening, forming, and culverting and metalling county roads, and the preparation for and the tar-sealing of eighteen miles of the Wairoa-Morere section of the Gisborne-Wairoa via Morere Main Highway, the said Wairoa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-fortieths of a penny (11/40d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the County of Wairoa, and that special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off." I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly submitted to and passed at a meeting of the Wairoa County Council held at the Council's Offices, Queen Street, Wairoa, on Wednesday, the 12th day of October, 1938.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Napier Borough Council proposes, under the powers conferred by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and its amendments, to execute a certain public work—namely, the widening of certain streets—and that accordingly the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the purposes of a public street.
