Notice is further given that a plan of the land required to
be taken for the purposes aforesaid is deposited in the offices
of the Napier Borough Council, Tennyson Street, Napier,
and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary
office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said work or
the taking of the said land who have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said work or to the taking
of the said land must set forth their objections in writing,
and send the same, to the Napier Borough Council, Tennyson
Street, Napier, on or before the 22nd day of November, 1938,
being a date not less than forty days from the first publication
of this notice.

THE SCHEDULE.

All that piece of land situate in the Borough of Napier
containing by admeasurement seven decimal six perches
(7-6p.), more or less, being portion of Town Section 352,
Town of Napier, which said piece of land comprises Lot
Number i on a plan deposited in the Land Transfer Office at
Napier as Number 2054, and being all the land comprised in
Certificate of Title, H.B. Volume 11, folio 117, Hawke's Bay

KAIRANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATES.

Palmerston North - Levin Main Highway Loan, 1938.

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
it by the Counties Act, 1920, and the Local Bodies'
Loans Act, 1926, the Kairanga County Council hereby
resolves as follows :-

" That, for the purpose of providing for payment of interest,
sinking fund, and other charges on the Palmerston North-
Levin Main Highway Loan, 1938, authorized to be raised by
the Kairanga County Council under the above-mentioned
Acts for the purpose of providing the Council's share of the
cost of bridging, metalling, priming, and sealing of that
portion of the Palmerston North - Levin via Shannon Main
Highway (No. 60) from the Fitzherbert Bridge to the county
boundary at Tokomaru, the Kairanga County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of forty-three one thousandths
(43/1000d.) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the whole of the County of Kairanga, and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twelve (12) years from the first day of
October, 1938, or until the loan is fully paid off."

IN pursuance of public notice duly given and in pursuance
and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Rating Act, 1925, the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1936,
the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, the Electric-
power Boards Act, 1925, the Finance Act, 1936 (No. 2), and
all other Acts empowering, the Wairere Electric-power Board
hereby resolves as follows :-

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on the loan of fourteen thousand
pounds (£14,000) authorized to be raised by the Wairere
Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts for
the purpose of the further reticulation of the said Wairere
Electric-power Board District and for carrying out such other
works, undertakings, and purposes as are authorized as afore-
said, the said Wairere Electric-power Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of seven-sixteenths of one penny
(7/16d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
Wairere Electric-power Board District, and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of
November in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period not exceeding twenty-five years or
until the loan is fully paid off, at the Board's offices at Piopio
to the Board's Collector."

The above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting
of the Wairere Electric-power Board held on 12th day of
October, 1938.
