This property is situated on Slack’s Road two miles and threequarters from Palmerston North and one mile from the West End School, access being by good metalled road. The soil is of a heavy loam resting on clay and shingle formation, and the property is watered by an artesian bore on a neighbouring section. Some 8 acres are in grass—subdivided into five paddocks—the balance of the area being occupied by buildings, garden, orchard, and hedges. The land is generally flat and is free from noxious weeds. It is an attractive property in good surroundings and nicely laid out.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 12th December, 1938.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 14th December, 1938, at 10.30 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot the first half-year’s rent, lease fee, broken period rent (if any), and amount of weighting for improvements.
