CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Town Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 18th October, 1938.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 5th December, 1938,

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 7th December, 1938, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and deposit in reduction of weighting for improvements.


SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LANDS.

Waitemata County.—Subdivision of Allotment 279, Waiwera Parish.—Town of Orewa Extension.

Lot 132*: Area, 1 rood 11·8 perches. Half-yearly rent, £1 10s.

Lot 133: Area, 39·9 perches. Half-yearly rent, £1 5s.

*Lot 132 is weighted with £300 for improvements, comprising dwelling 25 ft. by 24 ft. with lean-to 14 ft. by 8 ft., containing four rooms, washhouse, and usual conveniences. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £50, the balance may be paid over a period of fifteen years by half-yearly instalments of £11 19s.

These sections are situated on an unformed side road within a few chains of the main north highway and close to Orewa Beach. Access is from Birkenhead which is about twenty-two miles distant by the main highway. Store is half a mile distant, while nearest school is at Silverdale two miles and a half. The areas are level and in grass, the soil being of a sandy loam resting on sandstone formation. Sections would make ideal bach sites for use during the summer months.
