NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeit by resolution of the Land Boards of the respective land districts, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, 18th October, 1938.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 5th December, 1938.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 7th December, 1938, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and deposit on account of weighting for improvements.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

FIRST-CLASS LAND.

Waitemata County.-Waitemata Survey District.

(Exempt from payment of rent for three years.*)

SECTION 9, Block XIII : Area, 87 acres 2 roods 18 perches. Capital value, £435 ; half-yearly rent, £8 14s.

Section 10, Block XIII : Area, 87 acres 0 roods 12 perches. Capital value, £520 ; half-yearly rent, £10 8s. Weighted with £5 (payable in cash) for half-share 10 chains boundary-fence.

Sections 4, 12, and part 11, Block XIII : Area, 75 acres 3 roods 33 perches. Capital value, £435 ; half-yearly rent, £8 14s. Weighted with £14 (payable in cash) for 25 chains road-fence, and half-share 10 chains boundary-fence.

  • Rental exemption is conditional on improvements to the value stated hereunder being effected annually during the concession period in addition to the usual requirements under the Land Act: Section 9, £45 ; Section 10, £55 ; Sections 4, 12, and part 11, £45.

These sections are situated in the Birdwood Block about two miles and a half by metalled road from Swanson Railway-station and one mile and a half from Swanson School and Post-office. Soil is of a clay variety resting on sandstone formation. Sections are generally indifferently watered, but should be suitable for dairying.
