Appointing the Day for the First Election of Commissioners under the Lower Clutha River Improvement Act, 1938.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Lower Clutha River Improvement Act, 1938,
I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, as the day on which shall be held the first election of such Commissioners as are required to be elected under the said Act.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 18th day of October, 1938.

Notifying the proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the North Auckland Land District for other Land.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Description of Land authorized to be exchanged.
ALL those areas in the City of Auckland containing by admeasurement 3Β·1 perches, more or less, being Sections 631 and 632, Town of Orakei, situated in Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/43/8A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (North Auckland plan S.O. 29607.)
SECOND SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Description of Land to be obtained in Exchange therefor.
ALL that area in the City of Auckland containing by admeasurement 5Β·4 perches, more or less, being part of Section 356, Town of Orakei, situated in Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District, and being all the land on the plan numbered 28043, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/43/8A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 14th day of October, 1938.
