Crown Land in Gisborne Land District set apart for Disposal
by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special
Tenures.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement
Act, 1915, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared
open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers
under special tenures in the manner provided in the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

Gisborne Land District.--Crown Land.

Section 4, Block XV, Mangaoporo Survey District : Area,
137 acres 2 roods 20 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of
October, 1938.

Settlement Land in Nelson Land District proclaimed to be
ordinary Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section forty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any land acquired
under that Act to be, inter alia, ordinary Crown land available
for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the land described
in the Schedule hereto and which was acquired under the
Land for Settlements Act, 1908, shall cease to be settlement
land and become ordinary Crown land for disposal under
the Land Act, 1924:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section
forty-nine, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the
gazetting hereof, the land described in the Schedule hereto,
which was acquired under the Land for Settlements Act,
1908, shall be ordinary Crown land available for disposal
under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 3s, Golden Downs Settlement, Block X, Gordon
Survey District : Area, 935 acres 1 rood 5ยท5 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of
October, 1938.

Land in the Westland Land District proclaimed as ceasing to
be set apart as National-endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and two of the
Land Act, 1924, as amended by section ten of the
Land Laws Amendment Act, 1926, it is enacted that on the
disposal of any national-endowment land by way of sale, or
on the acquisition of the fee-simple of any such land, the
Governor-General may by Proclamation declare that such
land shall, as from a date to be specified in the Proclamation,
cease to be national-endowment land:

And whereas the fee-simple of the land described in the
Schedule hereto (being land heretofore held on a license
issued under the regulations for the occupation of pastoral
lands within the Karamea and Westland Mining Districts)
has been acquired, and it is expedient that the said land
should cease to be national-endowment land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred upon me by the aforesaid section
three hundred and two of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere
Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was set
apart as national-endowment land under the provisions of
section two hundred and fifty-eight of the Land Act, 1908,
ceased to be national-endowment land as from the twentieth
day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 1292, Block IX, Waiwhero Survey District : Area,
60 acres 2 roods 20 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of
October, 1938.

Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the
road in Glenomaru Survey District described in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road closed:

A. R. P. Adjoining
3 0 20 Sections 31, 53, 54, and closed road.
9 0 0 Sections 32, 80, 81, 82, 94, and 95.

Situated in Block VI, Glenomaru Survey District. (S.O.
plan G. 125.)

In the Otago Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/500B,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2825, and thereon coloured
green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of
October, 1938.
