WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Whakarau Loan, £2,500.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows :-

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500) authorized to be raised by the Waikohu County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose or re-forming and metalling the Waikohu to Motu via Whakarau Road, the said Waikohu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two and one-sixth pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Whakarau special-rating area comprising Mangatu No. 3 Block; Lot 1 of Poututu A 4B 1; part B 6A, A 4A, B 6B, B 3, B 4A Poututu; Poututu B 4B; Lot 2 of Poututu A 4B 1; Lot 2, Section 5, Block XII, Motu Survey District; Sections 3 and part 2, Block XII, Motu Survey District; Section 2, Block XI, and Section 4, Block XII, Motu Survey District; Lot 2, Section 2, Blocks VII and VIII, Motu Survey District; Poututu A 4B 2; Section 1, Block XI, Section 1, Block XII, Motu Survey District; Small Grazing-run 61; Section 3, Block VII, and Section 3, Block XI, Motu Survey District; Section 1, Block XVI, Motu Survey District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF A ROAD.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Coromandel County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a public work -namely, a road in the Whitianga Township-and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken :

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate at Kapanga Road, Coromandel, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.
