COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO THE TAKING OF LAND AND TO CLOSE PORTION OF ROAD.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1925.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Coromandel County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the access road to the beach at Mercury Bay through the Kaokaotunoa Block—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and the portion of road described in the Second Schedule hereto is required to be closed.

Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and of the portion of road required to be closed is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situate at Kapanga Road, Coromandel, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands or the closing of the said portion of road who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands or the closing of the said portion of road must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at Council Chambers.

Approximate areas of parcels of land required to be taken:—

0 2 24 Kaokaotunoa Block, Block VIII, Otama Survey District.
0 2 17 Kaokaotunoa Block, Block VIII, Otama Survey District.

All situated in County of Coromandel, and thereon coloured red.

Approximate area of portion of road required to be closed: 1 perch.

Adjoining section Kaokaotunoa Block in Block VIII, Otama Survey District.

Situated in County of Coromandel, and thereon coloured green.

Notice to Creditors to Prove.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of G. W. Collie and Company, Limited (in Liquidation).

THE 22nd day of October, 1938, is hereby fixed as the day on or before which the creditors of G. W. Collie and Company, Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, are to prove their debts or claims, and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Bay of Islands County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council situate at Kawakawa and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Kawakawa.

OTAGO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otago Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on the loan of £23,500 authorized to be raised by the Otago Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the reticulation, &c., of the Otago Central Area, the said Otago Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon rateable value (capital value) of all rateable property of the Otago Central Area comprising part of the Taieri-Maniototo and Waihemo County Councils specially described in the proclamation in New Zealand Gazette dated 26th April, 1929, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st November each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
