THE following result of the election of trustees of a drainage district has been received from the Returning Officer and is published in accordance with the provisions of the Land Drainage Act, 1908.

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares the Native lands described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act and to be included in the Maniapoto Development Scheme.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Town Land in Wellington Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 20th September, 1938.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to noon on Tuesday, 25th October, 1938.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 26th October, 1938, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, weighting for improvements, and lease fee.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.
Feilding Borough.—Block XIV, Oroua Survey District.
Part Lot 76, D.P. 19, Town of Feilding, and being part Subdivision A, Manchester Block: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £100; half-yearly rent, £2 10s.
Weighted with £50 (to be paid in cash) for improvements, comprising brick shed, 30 ft. by 14 ft. by 13 ft., with iron roof and fencing.
This section is the former drill-shed reserve situated at the corner of Manchester and Gray Streets, a quarter of a mile from the Feilding Post-office. It is a suitable site for a dwelling.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 8th November, 1938.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Thursday, 10th November, 1938, at 10.30 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN SETTLEMENT LAND.
Southland County.—Wyndham Survey District.—Glenham Settlement.
SECTION 51: Area, 2 roods 18 perches. Capital value, £22 10s.; half-yearly rent, 11s. 3d.
Weighted with £2 14s. (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising road and boundary fencing and grassing.
Section 52: Area, 2 roods 6 perches. Capital value, £22 10s.; half-yearly rent, 11s. 3d.
Weighted with £2 15s. (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising road and boundary fencing and grassing.
These sections are situated in Glenham Township ten chains from Glenham Post-office and School. There is a ditch through the front of the sections, and they are inclined to drop sharply away from the road. Soil of good loam.
