Road traversing Native Land proclaimed as a Public Road in
Block XIV, Maungatutari, and Blocks I and II, Whare-
papa Survey Districts, Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto
traverses Native land and has been partly formed out of public
funds or the funds of the local authority ;

And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made on
the second day of February, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-eight, and issued pursuant to section four hundred and
eighty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and
declared the said road to be a public road ;

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in
the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed
as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been
forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four
hundred and eighty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931 ;

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should
be proclaimed as a public road ;

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four
hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do
hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the
Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road :
14 acres 2 roods 4 perches.

Being portion of Wharepuhunga 14s Block.

Situated in Block XIV, Maungatutari, and Blocks I and
II, Wharepapa Survey Districts. (Plan 15910.)

In the Auckland Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 7/584a,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2822, and thereon coloured
red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of
September, 1938.

Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject
to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests
Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 119,
set apart by Proclamation dated the twenty-fourth day of
March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and
gazetted on the third day of April of that year, is required
for settlement purposes ; and, in accordance with the pro-
visions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the
day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State
forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the
Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in Hobson County containing by admeasure-
ment 470 acres 0 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Sec-
tion 7 and part of Section 8, Block IV, Kaihu Survey District :
Bounded, commencing at the south-western corner of Sec-
tion 9 of the aforesaid Block IV ; thence towards the north-
east by part of aforesaid Section 8 following right lines,
bearing 110° 57', 798-3 links, 157° 12', 893-4 links, 102° 39',
3723-9 links, 95° 08', 716-9 links ; towards the east by Lot 4
on D.P. 12849 and Section 20, Block I, Maungaru Survey
District ; towards the south generally by part of Ounuwhao
No. 3 Block on D.P. 5073 ; and towards the west generally
by a public road : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 9/834a, deposited in the Head Office, De-
partment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red. (North Auckland plans S.O. 16739 and 29451.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of
September, 1938.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted
pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908
(hereinafter referred to as “ the said Act ”), has recommended
that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be
permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient
to give effect to such recommendation ;

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said
Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in Hobson County containing by admeasure-
ment 10 acres 2 roods 12 perches, more or less, being the
eastern part of Section 17, Block XI, Waipoua Survey Dis-
trict : Bounded towards the north-east generally by Don-
nelly’s Park Road, towards the south by Section 33, and
towards the west by the western part of Section 17, both of
Block XI aforesaid. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/50a, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (North Auckland
plan S.O. 6328a.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of
September, 1938.
