Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under
Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Retail Sale of Motor-spirit.
I HEREBY give notice that applications have been
received from—
(1) Arona Bros., for permission to resell motor-spirit from
a fixed petrol pump at Nukutawhiti to replace
selling in tins.
(2) D. Matheson, for a license to sell retail motor-spirit
at his garage in Lumsden.
(3) H. W. Collins, for a license to resell motor-spirit from a
petrol pump installed on Gread’s Farm five miles
from Kati Kati.
(4) Schaef’s Limited, for permission to transfer five petrol
pumps from Petrie Avenue, and one pump from
Mackay Street, to the front of a new garage, and
service station in the course of erection in Herbert
Street, Greymouth.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by
the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications,
and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must
furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the
undersigned not later than the 13th September, 1938. All
representations must set out clearly the grounds for same
and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput
of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by
the person making the representations.

Taking of Fish for Sale.
I HEREBY give notice that an application has been
received from N. H. Odey for permission to take over
from T. J. Brassell, Lyttelton, a 40 ft. 25 h.p. launch and to
use same to take fish for sale at Timaru by means of Danish
seine and trawl nets. Proposed market, Timaru.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by
the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and
who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish
such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned
not later than the 11th September, 1938.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Town Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 31st August, 1938.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections
are open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland,
up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 17th October, 1938.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auck-
land, on Wednesday, 19th October, 1938, at 10.30 o’clock
a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be
examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner
of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is
required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit
comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and
lease fee.

The sections, which are well suited for camp or bach
sites, are situated about nine miles from Kaitaia by good
metalled road and overlook the famous Ninety-mile Beach.
The Ahipara Post-office and School adjoin the subdivision.
Soil is of fair quality resting on sandstone formation. Land
is flat to undulating—altitude 25 ft. to 30 ft. above sea-level.
