TE AWAMUTU ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, and all other powers it thereto enabling, the Te Awamutu Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £30,000 authorized to be raised by the Te Awamutu Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the further reticulation of that part of the Board’s district hereinafter described, including the purchase of all necessary material and plant, land, and rights over land, and the payment of wages and engineering, survey, legal, and other fees, the said Te Awamutu Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-tenths of a penny (3/10d.) in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in that portion of the Te Awamutu Electric-power District defined in a Proclamation appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of 8th January, 1920, at page 14, as amended by a Proclamation appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of 27th November, 1924, at page 2823, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ROTORUA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
LIBRARY BEQUEST LOAN OF £8,300 (1937).
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,300 authorized to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase of the property of the late Mrs. E. A. Seddon Johnson and acquiring the freehold of same as a permanent endowment for the Rotorua Municipal Library, the said Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·109 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rotorua, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ROTORUA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
HOUSING LOAN £8,000 (1937).
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,000 authorized to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting ten houses complete with paths, fences, &c., at an estimated cost of £750 each, and to provide approximately £500 towards the erection of a cottage at the municipal abattoir, the said Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·076 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rotorua, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ROTORUA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT LOAN £1,000 (1937).
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000 authorized to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase of materials, providing transport, tools, &c., and payment of the Council’s share of wages on works subsidized from the Employment Promotion Fund, the said Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·031 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rotorua, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven (7) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Te Puke No. 2 Road Water-race Loan £700, 1935.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seven hundred pounds (£700) authorized to be raised by the Tauranga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of augmenting the present water-supply in the Te Puke No. 2 Road Water-race Area, hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-halfpenny (½d.) in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all the rateable property within the Te Puke No. 2 Road Water-race Special-rating Area situate within the said county, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring special rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan or until the said loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Tauranga County Council held on the 8th day of April, 1938.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of shareholders of the above company will be held at the offices of Messrs. Hine and Hine, Solicitors, Sheridan Street, Te Kuiti, on Monday, the 1st day of August, 1938, at 10.30 a.m., when the liquidator will lay before the meeting his account showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the assets disposed of and offer any explanation that may be asked for.
