IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me
in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the additional land described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of an
automatic telephone exchange; and I do also declare that
this proclamation shall take effect on and after the
eighteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-eight.

declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown
land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

Altering the Boundaries of the Otago Mining District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section eight of the Mining Act, 1926,
it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General
may from time to time by Proclamation alter the boundaries
of any mining district: And whereas it is desirable that
the land specified in the Schedule hereto shall, subject to all
existing registered mining privileges, be excluded from the
Otago Mining District:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section eight of the Mining Act, 1926, and of all
other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this
behalf, do hereby, as from the date of the publication hereof
in the New Zealand Gazette, alter the boundaries of the Otago
Mining District by excluding therefrom the land particularly
described in the Schedule hereto subject to all existing
registered mining privileges.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Southland Land District con-
taining by admeasurement 25·65 perches, more or less, being
part of Lot 13, Block I, Township of Oban Extension No. 6,
D.P. 3001, being also part of Section 119, Block I, Paterson
Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the
north by Lots 4 and 5, Block I, Township of Oban Extension
No. 6, D.P. 3001, 803·19 links; towards the north-east by
Dundee Street, 24·26 links; towards the south by Lot l,
Plan 556 (red), Lot 16, Block III, Oban Extension No. 5,
D.P. 2930, and Lot 2, D.P. 3355, 800·59 links; towards the
south-west by Willet Street, 25·83 links; be all the aforesaid
linkages a little more or less. As the same is more particularly
delineated on plan marked N. 6/4/18, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Mines, at Wellington, and thereon
edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of July,
1938.

Land in the Westland Land District proclaimed as ceasing to
be set apart as National-endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and two of the
Land Act, 1924, as amended by section ten of the
Land Laws Amendment Act, 1926, it is enacted that on the
disposal of any national-endowment land by way of sale or
on the acquisition of the fee-simple of any such land, the
Governor-General may by Proclamation declare that such
land shall, as from a date to be specified in the Proclamation,
cease to be national-endowment land:

And whereas the fee-simple of the land described in the
Schedule hereto (being land heretofore held on renewable
lease tenure) has been acquired, and it is expedient that the
said land should cease to be national-endowment land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred upon me by the aforesaid section
three hundred and two of the Land Act, 1924, I, George
Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that from and after the twenty-first day of December, one
thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, the land described
in the Schedule hereto, which was set apart as national-
endowment land under the provisions of section two hundred
and fifty-eight of the Land Act, 1908, shall cease to be
national-endowment land.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 2630, Block V, Waiwhero Survey District: Area,
5 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of
July, 1938.
