Appointment of Adjustment Commission.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of January, 1938.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-four of the Mortgagors and Lessees Rehabilitation Act, 1936, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint an Adjustment Commission, to be known as the Southland (Urban) Adjustment Commission, and doth appoint John Tait, Esquire, and Robert Percy Meek, Esquire, both of Invercargill, to be Members of such Commission, the said John Tait, Esquire, to be Chairman thereof.

L. Calvert, Esquire, of Dunedin, to be a Member of the Otago Adjustment Commission in lieu of Henry Lawrence Cook, Esquire, resigned, the said C. L. Calvert to be Chairman of such Commission.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by section five of the Judicature Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Court of Appeal shall consist of two divisions, to be called respectively the First Division and the Second Division of the Court of Appeal; and that each division shall consist of five Judges of the Supreme Court, to be appointed to that division by the Governor-General in Council:
And whereas the power conferred by the said first-mentioned Act upon the Governor-General in Council of appointing Judges as members of either division, or of revoking any such appointment, shall be exercisable on the recommendation of not less than three Judges of the Supreme Court (of whom the Chief Justice shall be one), and not otherwise:
And whereas the Right Honourable the Chief Justice, the Honourable Mr. Justice Ostler, and the Honourable Mr. Justice Smith have recommended that the two divisions of the Court of Appeal for the year one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight shall be constituted as shown hereafter:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Redwood Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 3527.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of January, 1938.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any Rabbit District, may by Order in Council alter and redefine the boundaries of its district:
And whereas the district known as the Redwood Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act:
And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein:
And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers’ list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid;

Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,
-
Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE REDWOOD RABBIT DISTRICT.
All that parcel of land in the Marlborough Land District, containing an area of 48,900 acres, more or less, bounded as follows: Commencing at the junction of the Blaikir River and the Awatere River in Section 12 of Square 30, Awatere, in Block XVII, Taylor Pass Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of the Awatere Road to the Taylor Pass Road; thence along the eastern boundary of the Taylor Pass Road to a point where the Taylor River crosses the said road at Section 1, Block VIII, Taylor Pass Survey District; thence along the western bank of the Taylor River to the south-eastern corner of Section 9, Block III, Taylor Pass Survey District, and along the western boundary of the said Section 9 to the Taylor River; again along the western bank of the Taylor River to the south-western corner of Section 2 of 28, Block III, Taylor Pass Survey District; thence along the western boundary of the said Section 2 of 28 to the New Renwick Road; thence in
