A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as β€œthe said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.


SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

SECTIONS 2 of 9, 19, 20, 21, and 24, Block I, Glenomaru Survey District: Area, 406 acres 3 roods 25 perches, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of January, 1938.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in Kurow Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 4 acres 3 roods 13 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Section 20 and Crown land.

Situated in Block V, Kurow Survey District. (S.O. plan K92.)

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 9/3099, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2806, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of January, 1938.

Land set apart as an Addition to an Aerodrome Reserve.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the pieces of closed roads described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas adjacent to the reserve for aerodrome purposes described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said reserve.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 13 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, and being closed roads 1470R, Block I, Shotover Survey District, and 1471R, Block XXXIII, and 1485R, Block XXXIV, Town of Frankton. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 54813D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 111 acres 0 roods 25 perches, more or less, being Sections 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 44, 44A, 45, 45A, 46, 47, 48, 64, and 65, Block I, Shotover Survey District.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 47 acres 1 rod 37 perches, more or less, being Sections 1, 2, and 3, Block XXXIII, and Sections 1 and 2, Block XXXIV, Town of Frankton.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 35 perches, more or less, being part of Section 4, Block XXXIV, Town of Frankton: Bounded on the east, 790 links, by Essex Street; on the south, 376 links, by Northampton Street; on the west, 790 links, by Cumberland Street; and on the north, 376 links, by another part of Section 4 aforesaid.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of January, 1938.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of January, 1938.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by section forty of the Local Legislation Act, 1937, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Minister of Public Works to purchase part of the electric-works owned by the Grey Electric-power Board, and doth fix the date for the completion of the said purchase as the thirty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight.
