Mining Privilege to be struck off the Register.

Mining Registrar’s Office, Blenheim, 21st June, 1938.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of section 188 (3) of the Mining Act, 1926, as amended by section 18 of the Mining Amendment Act, 1937, unless sufficient cause to the contrary is shown within one month from the date hereof, the mining privilege mentioned in the Schedule hereunder will be struck off the Register.

Unclaimed Property.

NOTICE BY THE PUBLIC TRUSTEE DECLARING HIS INTENTION OF TAKING POSSESSION OF AND ADMINISTERING PROPERTY UNDER PART III OF THE PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE ACT, 1908, AND ITS AMENDMENTS.

WHEREAS Thomas Walter Hungerford, formerly of Cobden, in the Provincial District of Nelson, New Zealand, is the owner of one undivided fourth share or interest in all that piece or parcel of land containing 51 acres 1 rood 39 perches, be the same a little more or less, being Section 29, Block III, Cobden Survey District, and being all the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 13, folio 200 (Westland Registry) : And whereas the said Thomas Walter Hungerford is reported to have died in Australia in or about the year 1912 : And whereas the whereabouts of the executors or administrators of the estate of the said Thomas Walter Hungerford are unknown : And whereas the Public Trustee has been requested to take possession of and administer the said property under the provisions of Part III of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and its amendments : And whereas the value of the said property does not exceed one thousand pounds.

Now, therefore, by virtue of the powers in that behalf conferred upon him by section 87 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, as amended by subsection 2 of section 41 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, the Public Trustee, with the consent of the Public Trust Office Board, hereby declares his intention of taking possession of the said property and of exercising in respect thereof all the powers conferred upon him in and by the provisions of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and its amendments.
