Assessor for the Purposes of the Valuation of Land Act, 1925, appointed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington this 22nd day of June, 1938.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Valuation of Land Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint Mr. Thomas T. Murray to be an assessor for the Taranaki Land District.

Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Maungakawa Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 3573.)

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of June, 1938.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any Rabbit District, may by Order in Council alter and redefine the boundaries of its district:

And whereas the district known as the Maungakawa Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act:

And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein:

And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers’ list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

  1. Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid;

  2. Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and further

  3. Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.


SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE MAUNGAKAWA RABBIT DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Waikato County, situated in Blocks XIV, XV, Maungakawa Survey District, and Blocks I, II, III, V, VI, VII, Cambridge Survey District, bounded, commencing at the Pukemoremore Trig. Station in Block I, Cambridge Survey District, in a north-easterly direction generally along the south-eastern boundaries of Karokaro A 2, C, and B Blocks and the southern boundary of part Tahuora No. 1 Block to the south-western corner of Section 72s, Te Miro Settlement; thence again in a north-easterly direction along a right line to Tutaenui Trig. Station at the south-western corner of Kiwitahi 3c Block; thence along the south-western boundary of Kiwitahi 3c Block, the south-western, and generally south-eastern boundaries of Kiwitahi part 3B Block, and along the southern boundary of Te Au-O-Waikato No. 8 Block to Kiwitahi Road; thence in a general southerly direction along the western side of Kiwitahi Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Kiwitahi 1d No. 1 Block; thence along a right line to and along the southern boundary of Kiwitahi 1d No. 1 Block to the south-eastern corner of that block; thence again in a general southerly direction along the western boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 on D.P. 17890, being a subdivision of Te Pae-O-Tu Rawaru No. 2c Block to the northern boundary of part Lot 43 on D.P. 14557, being a subdivision of Hinuera No. 2 Block; thence in a general south-westerly direction along the northern boundary of part Lot 43 aforesaid, the north-western boundaries of Lot J of Hinuera No. 2 Block and Section 1, Block VII, Cambridge Survey District, to and across Te Miro Road, and along the north-western boundaries of Sections E 2, W 2, Block VI, Cambridge Survey District,

to and across Maungakawa Road, and along the north-western boundary of part Hinuera No. 2 Block on Deeds Plan C 37 to Trig. Station C, on the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 287, Hautapu Parish; thence in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 287, 288, Hautapu Parish, across a public road, and along the north-eastern boundaries of parts Section 1, Block VI, Cambridge Survey District, Sections 25, 24, 22, and 20, Block V, Cambridge Survey District, to and across a drain reserve and Hautapu-Te Miro Road to the northern side of that road; thence in a westerly and north-westerly direction generally along Hautapu-Te Miro Road, to and along a drain reserve passing through Sections 20 and 18, Block V, and adjoining Sections 17, Block V, and Lot 2 of Section 1, Block I, Cambridge Survey District, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Pukemoremore 3F Block; thence in a north-easterly direction along a right line to the south-western corner of Pukemoremore 3F Block; thence again in a north-easterly direction along the south-eastern boundaries of Pukemoremore 3F and 3G Blocks, the abutment of a public road, and along the south-eastern boundaries of Pukemoremore 3B and 3I Blocks and this boundary produced to Pukemoremore Trig. Station, the point of commencement.

SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE FLAXBOURNE RABBIT DISTRICT.

ALL that area of land in the Marlborough Land District, commencing on the shores of Clifford Bay near the northern boundary of Section 15, Block III, Cape Campbell Survey District, thence in a northerly direction along the sea-coast to the Awatere River; thence in a south-westerly direction along the southern bank of the Awatere River to the north-western corner of Section 7, Block XXI, Taylor Pass Survey District; thence along the north-eastern boundary of the Blue Mountain Rabbit District defined by Order in Council made on the 14th day of December, 1934, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 20th day of December, 1934, at page 4292, to Richmond Brook; thence southerly by the eastern boundary of the Richmond Brook Estate to the Flaxbourne River; thence easterly by that river to the north-west corner of Small Grazing Run 166; thence again southerly by the west boundaries of Small Grazing Runs 166 and 181 and Section 1, Block VIII, Cape Campbell Survey District, to the boundary of the Marlborough Coast Rabbit District defined by Order in Council made on the 21st day of December, 1925, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 7th day of January, 1926, at page 8; thence easterly by the boundaries of the said district to the sea; thence north-easterly by the sea to Cape Campbell; thence westerly by the sea to the point of commencement.
