Crown Land set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—BOROUGH OF LOWER HUTT.
SECTION 17, Hall Jones Settlement, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District: Area, 1 acre. (Wellington plan No. S.O. 42/84.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of June, 1938.

Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALLOTMENT 206, Parish of Paremoremo, situated in Blocks II and III, Waitemata Survey District: Area, 113 acres 2 roods, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of June, 1938.

Revoking the Reservation over a Scenic Reserve in the Southland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for scenic purposes:

And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SECTION 60, Block III, Jacobs River Hundred: Area, 20 acres 2 roods, more or less.

Revocation of the Reservation of a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921-22, and pursuant to a resolution in that behalf passed by both Houses of Parliament, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke (so far only as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto) the Proclamation of the twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, whereby the said land (with certain other land) was set apart as a permanent State forest, and declare that the reservation thereby effected is (so far only as aforesaid) revoked accordingly.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, being State Forest No. 5, containing by admeasurement 214 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, and now known as Section 945, Block LXVIII, Hokonui Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 203/1, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of June, 1938.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of June, 1938.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-four of the Mortgagors and Lessees Rehabilitation Act, 1936, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint Edgar Stirling Bowie, Esquire, of Christchurch, to be a member of the North Canterbury Adjustment Commission, in place of John Roberts Cuningham, Esquire, resigned, the said Edgar Stirling Bowie, Esquire, to be Chairman of such Commission.
