Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit.
I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—
(1) C. B. Lempriere & Co., Ltd., to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a store and lodge at Turangi.
(2) Mrs. M. Prince, to sell (retail) motor-spirit at a proposed new store at Kio Kio.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 19th May, 1938. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.

Taking of Fish.
I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—
(1) J. Reid, for a license to take fish at Tauranga by means of a 30 ft. 16 h.p. launch, using long and hand lines, and supplying the Tauranga market.
(2) P. E. Netana, for a license to take fish at Matauri Bay by means of a 14 ft. 4·2 h.p. outboard motor-boat, using drag-nets, and long and hand lines, and supplying the local market.
(3) W. J. Duncan, for a license to take fish at Bluff by means of the 26 ft. 12 h.p. launch, using long and hand lines, and supplying the local market.
(4) J. E. Mills, for a license to take fish at Pelorus Sound and French Pass by means of a 35 ft. 8 h.p. launch, using set and drag nets, and long and hand lines, and supplying the Wellington market.
(5) C. C. Ashmore, for a license to take fish at Nugget Point and Chaslands Heads by means of a 20 ft. 2 h.p. launch, using long and hand lines, and supplying the Owaka market.
(6) H. E. Diffey, for a license to take fish at Wanganui by means of a 35 ft. 91 h.p. launch, using long and hand lines, and supplying the Wanganui District.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 23 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, the registration of the Blenheim Legal Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered number 1574, situated at Blenheim, will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the date hereof.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 13th June, 1938.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 15th June, 1938, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.
