SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Whangarei County.—Mata Parish.

ALLOTMENT 17: Area, 39 acres 3 roods 10 perches. Capital value, £20. Deposit on deferred payments, £5: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, 9s. 9d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 10s.

This section is situated on a clay bye road one-half mile to one mile and a half from Waipu-Whangarei main road. Access is from Oakleigh Railway-station which is approximately four miles distant. Undulating poor clay land in tea-tree and gorse, poorly watered by soakage. Altitude, 50 ft. to 200 ft. above sea-level.

This section is considered to be more suitable for use as a run-off area in conjunction with fully-developed land in the district rather than as a separate holding.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale for cash or on deferred payments by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, State Fire Building, Wellington, on Friday, 13th May, 1938, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and the Hutt Valley Lands Settlement Act, 1925.

These sections are situated in an area defined by the local authority for the erection of shops under the powers conferred by the Town-planning Act. They are adjacent to Woburn Station; Sections 11 and 14, Block XLV, being in Hawkins Street, and Sections 29 and 30 facing Waiwetu Road. Drainage, sewerage, gas, and electric light are available.

Attention of intending purchasers is drawn to a easement for public purposes on Sections 29 and 30, Block XLIV, as shown on plan No. 169/26, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for selection on renewable lease (term 33 years) under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Hokitika, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 13th June, 1938.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Hokitika, at 10.30 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, 15th June, 1938.

These sections are situated in the Town of Rapahoe on the sea-coast in the locality known as Point Elizabeth. The town is two miles distant from the State coal-mine at Runanga and seven miles from Greymouth by good metalled road.

The sections are offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessees, whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.

Sale plans (Westland No. 179) showing the sections, and giving the terms and conditions of leasing and any further information required, may be obtained on application to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Hokitika.
