Special Order made by the Rodney County Council altering Riding Boundaries.

THE following special order made by the Rodney County Council is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.

Pursuant to section 100 of that Act, as amended by section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1921–22, I hereby fix the thirty-first day of March, 1938, as the date from which the special order shall take effect.

SPECIAL ORDER.

ALTERATION OF RIDING BOUNDARIES.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Counties Act, 1920, and subject to the approval of the Chief Surveyor of the District and to the consent of the Governor-General in Council, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order that the present Hoteo Riding be altered to include certain sections, which sections are to be deleted from the present Omaha Riding, and that the Omaha Riding be altered by excluding therefrom certain sections, which sections are to be transferred to the Hoteo Riding; that the boundaries of the ridings hereinbefore mentioned shall be as follows:

SCHEDULE.

Hoteo Riding.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, Rodney County, situated in Otamatea, Pakiri, Rodney, Tauhoa, and Mahurangi Survey Districts, bounded as follows: Commencing at the easternmost corner of Allotment 104, Oruawharo Parish, in a north-easterly direction generally along the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments E. 93, 92A, 92, Oruawharo Parish, to and across a public road, and along the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 88, S.W. 87, N. 87, 85, and 67, Oruawharo Parish, to a point on the western side of a public road at the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence at right angles across the said public road to its eastern side; thence along the eastern side of the last-mentioned public road to its junction with another public road at the north-western corner of Allotment 70, Arai Parish; thence in a south-easterly direction generally along the last-mentioned public road which forms the northern and eastern boundaries of Allotment 70 aforesaid to a point in line with the south-western side of a public road which forms the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 46, Arai Parish; thence along a right line to and along the south-western side of the last-mentioned public road to and across another public road and along the south-western side of a public road which forms part of the north-eastern boundary of Section 11s, Waiteitei Settlement, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 64, Arai Parish; thence again in a north-easterly direction generally by the abutment of the last-mentioned public road and along the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 64, 65, 66, S. 67, N. 67, 68, S. 18, N. 18, and 15, Arai Parish, the abutment of a public road, the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 5 and 4, Arai Parish, the abutment of another public road, along the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments S.W. 3, M. 3, N.E. 3, and 2, Arai Parish, to and across another public road and along the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 1, Arai Parish, and its production in a north-easterly direction to the sea; thence again in a south-easterly direction generally along the sea-coast to the northernmost corner of Lot 3 on D.P. 16637, being a subdivision of Pakiri No. 1 Block; thence in a south-westerly direction generally along the north-western boundaries of Lots 3 and 6 on D.P. 16637 aforesaid to the southernmost corner of Section 14, Block X, Pakiri Survey District; thence again in a south-easterly direction along a right line to the north-western corner of Allotment 55, Pakiri Parish, the western boundary of Allotment 55 aforesaid, and its production across Allotment 126, Pakiri Parish (closed road), to the northern boundary of Allotment 101, Pakiri Parish; thence along the generally northern and eastern boundaries of Allotment 101 to a public road at the south-eastern corner of that allotment; thence along a right line across the said public road to the north-eastern corner of part Allotment 117, Pakiri Parish; thence along the western and southern sides of the public road forming the eastern boundary of part Allotment 117 and part of the northern boundary of Allotment 121, Pakiri Parish, to and along the southern boundary of Allotment 102A, Pakiri Parish, to the western boundary of Allotment 113, Omaha Parish; thence in a south-westerly direction generally along the western boundaries of Allotments 113, 112, and 111, Omaha Parish, the north-western boundaries of Allotments 101 and 107, Matakana Parish, and the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 97, Matakana Parish, to the northern-most corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence along the south-eastern, north-eastern, and generally north-western boundaries of Lot 2 on D.P. 11393, being a subdivision of Allotment 77, Pakiri Parish, and the north-western boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 11393 aforesaid, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of a public road; thence along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 82, Pakiri Parish; thence to and along the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 82 aforesaid; along the north-western boundaries of that allotment and a reserve and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of a public road; thence along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 123, Pakiri Parish; thence to and along the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 123 aforesaid, the north-eastern, north-western, and south-western boundaries of Allotment 109, Pakiri Parish, to and along the right-hand branch of the Waiwhiu Stream to a point in line with the western boundary of Allotment 123, Pakiri Parish; thence to and along the western boundary of Allotment 123 aforesaid, and along the northern boundary of Allotment 115, Pakiri Parish, and that boundary produced to the middle of a public road; thence along the middle of the last-mentioned road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Allotment 68, Pakiri Parish; thence along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 68 aforesaid, and along the eastern and northern boundaries of that allotment to the Waiwhiu Stream; thence along the Waiwhiu Stream to a point in line with the northern boundary of Allotment 39, Hoteo Parish; thence to and along the last-mentioned boundary and that boundary produced to the western side of a public road which forms the eastern boundary of Allotment S. 12, Hoteo Parish; thence along the western side of the last-mentioned road to and along the north-western side of another public road which forms the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments S. 12 and 105, Hoteo Parish, and along the northern boundary of Allotment 106 (closed road), Hoteo Parish, to the eastern boundary of Allotment 101, Hoteo Parish; thence along the generally eastern and southern boundaries of the last-mentioned allotment to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Allotment 87, Hoteo Parish; thence along a right line across a public road and a stream and along the north-western and south-western boundaries of Allotment 87 aforesaid, the south-western boundaries of Allotments 95 and 84, Hoteo Parish, the northern boundaries of Allotments 51 and 52, Hoteo Parish, the eastern and northern boundaries of Allotment 96, Hoteo Parish, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of a public road; thence along the middle of that road to the angle where the road leaves the western boundary of Allotment 92, Hoteo Parish; thence along a right line to the last-mentioned boundary; thence along that boundary and the northern boundaries of Allotments 86 and 54, Hoteo Parish, to and across the North Island Main Trunk Railway and again along the northern boundary of Allotment 54 and along the northern boundary of Allotment 55 to a point opposite the north-eastern corner of Allotment 45, Tauhoa Parish; thence along a right line across the Hoteo River to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 45 aforesaid; thence along the northern boundary of that allotment and its production to the middle of a public road; thence in a north-westerly direction generally along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 123A, Tauhoa Parish; thence to and along the last-mentioned boundary to the northern-most corner of that allotment, being a point on the boundary of Albert Riding as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1920, page 2756; and thence in a north-easterly direction generally along the boundary of Albert Riding aforesaid to the eastern-most corner of Allotment 104, Oruawharo Parish, the point of commencement.

Omaha Riding.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, Rodney County, situated in Pakiri and Rodney Survey Districts, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the sea-coast being the northernmost corner of Lot 3 on D.P. 16637, being a subdivision of Pakiri No. 1 Block; towards the north-east and south-east generally by the sea-coast and by the Whangateau Harbour and the Omaha River to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Allotment 30A, Matakana Parish; thence to and along the last-mentioned boundary and along the north-western boundary of Allotment 34, Matakana Parish, the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 85, the north-western boundaries of Allotments 85 and 86, Matakana Parish, and part of the eastern boundary of Allotment 83, Matakana Parish, to a public road; thence in a north-westerly direction generally along the north-eastern side of that road to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 105 and 106 and the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 101, Matakana Parish, to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned allotment; and thence in a general northerly direction along the boundary of Hoteo Riding
