Land proclaimed as Road in Block IV, Ohinewairua Survey District, Rangitikei County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1928, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land in Ohinewairua Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as road :—

A. R. P. Being Portion of
6 3 3·5 Awarua 2c 10B Block ; coloured red.
0 0 20 Lot 2, D.P. 6088, and being part Oruamatua Kaimanawa 1a 2b Block ; coloured violet.

Situated in Block IV, Ohinewairua Survey District. (S.O. 3293.)

In the Wellington Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 98436, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of March, 1938.

Changing Name of the Harbour known as “ Kioreroa,” County of Whangarei, to “ Port Whangarei.”

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is considered expedient that the name of the harbour known as “ Kioreroa,” in the County of Whangarei, should be changed to “ Port Whangarei ” :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the harbour known as “ Kioreroa,” in the County of Whangarei, shall be, and the same is hereby altered to “ Port Whangarei,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such harbour accordingly ; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, not being earlier than six months after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of December, 1937.

Boundaries of the Otago Mining District altered.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section eight of the Mining Act, 1926, it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time by Proclamation alter the boundaries of any mining district : And whereas it is desirable that the land specified in the Schedule hereto shall, subject to all existing registered mining privileges, be excluded from the Otago Mining District :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eight of the Mining Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, alter the boundaries of the Otago Mining District by excluding therefrom the land particularly described in the Schedule hereto subject to all existing registered mining privileges.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 66 acres 0 roods 23 perches, more or less, being Section 38 (formerly part Section 14), Block VIII, Tautuku Survey District : Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 3092·3 links ; towards the south-east by other part of Section 14 (now Section 39), 3925·0 links ; towards the north-west by a road along the Fleming River, 1638·6, 1046·7, and 400·9 links ; and again towards the north-west by Section 13, 1917·0 links, be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked N. 6/4/18, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Mines, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of March, 1938.

Road traversing Native Land proclaimed as a Public Road in Block XVI, Mangatu Survey District, Gisborne Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Native land and has been used by the public as a public road :

And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made on the twenty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, and issued pursuant to section four hundred and eighty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road :

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931 :

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Gisborne Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2491, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2808, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of March, 1938.
