Manders Street and Portion of Arden Street, in the City of Dunedin, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of March, 1938.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the thirty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, viz.:
“ That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the undermentioned portions of streets, viz.:
(a) The whole of Manders Street abutting on Sections 6, 8, 9, 11, and 12, D.P. 134, being part of Section 116, North East Valley District; and
(b) The north-western side of portion of Arden Street abutting on Section 4, North East Valley District”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting Manders Street or the north-western side of the portion of Arden Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of the said street and portion of street respectively.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that street, situated in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, known as Manders Street, fronting Lots 6, 8, 9, 11, and 12, Deeds Plan 134, being parts Section 116, North-east Valley District.
Also the north-western side of all that portion of street in the said land district and city known as Arden Street, fronting Section 4, North-east Valley District.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 98596, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Reapportioning Representation on the North Canterbury Electric-power Board and revoking previous Orders in Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of March, 1938.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke as from the dates of the next general elections of the representatives of the constituent districts of the North Canterbury Electric-power District, the Orders in Council dated the twenty-second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and the twenty-fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, respectively, and published in the Gazettes of the twenty-fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and the twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, respectively, apportioning representation on the North Canterbury Electric-power Board; and doth hereby add as constituent districts portion of the County of Cheviot and portion of the County of Amuri; and doth hereby determine that on or after the dates hereinbefore referred to the number of representatives of each constituent district on the North Canterbury Electric-power Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district; and doth further determine that the constituent districts which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto are hereby constituted combined districts for the purposes of the said Act, and that the principal local authority of each such combined district shall be the local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “(p).”

Amending the Apportionment of Representation on the Thames Valley Electric-power Board and revoking previous Order in Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of March, 1938.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the thirteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, published in the Gazette on the tenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, at page 426, and in lieu thereof doth hereby determine that on and after the dates of the next general elections of the representatives of the constituent districts of the Thames Valley Electric-power District enumerated in the Schedule hereto the number of representatives of each of the said constituent districts on the Thames Valley Electric-power Board shall be the number specified in the said Schedule opposite the name of that constituent district; and doth further determine that the constituent districts which are bracketed together in the first column of the said Schedule are hereby constituted a combined district for the purposes of the said Act, and that the principal local authority of such combined district shall be the Borough of Matamata; and doth further determine that on and after the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, the constituent districts of the Boroughs of Thames and Te Aroha shall be a combined district for the purposes of the said Act, and that the principal local authority of such combined district shall be the Borough of Te Aroha; and doth further determine that on and after the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, the constituent district of the Borough of Waihi shall be represented on the said Board by one member; and pursuant to subsection (three) of section twelve of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, doth hereby fix the said first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, as the date of the first election of the representative of the constituent district of the said Borough of Waihi; and doth further determine that a sufficient number of representatives of the combined district of the Boroughs of Thames and Te Aroha shall retire from office on the said first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight.
