DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between HENRY EDWARD BURDEN and WILLIAM THOMPSON CHURCHWARD, carrying on the practice and business of Barristers and Solicitors at Blenheim, under the style or firm of “Burden and Churchward” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of February, 1938.
All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said William Thompson Churchward and Frank Wilmot Horton who will continue to carry on the said practice and business in partnership under the style or firm of “Burden, Churchward, and Horton.”

TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Timaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £72,300 authorized to be raised by the Timaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of laying a line of pipes from the dam to be constructed in the Cannington Gorge to the existing reservoirs and for the purpose of improving the existing reticulation, the said Timaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ·603d. in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Timaru; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of eleven years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,000 authorized to be raised by the Timaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of kerbing and channelling streets within the Borough, the said Timaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ·110d. in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Timaru; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of eleven years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Timaru Borough Council held on the 28th day of February, 1938.
