WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other
powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waimate County
Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest, principal,
and other charges on a loan of three thousand three hundred
pounds (£3,300) authorized to be raised by the Waimate
County Council under the above Act for the purpose of
constructing drainage works in the Morven Drainage District,
the said Waimate County Council hereby makes and levies
the special differential rates of :—
On lands classified as first class, the special rate of one
and five-eighths of a penny (1⅝d.) in the pound ;
On lands classified as second class, the special rate of seven-
eighths of a penny (⅞d.) in the pound ;
according to the classification as shown on the general
classification list of the Morven Drainage District on the
rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable
property in the said Morven Drainage District, and that the
said special differential rates shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly
on the 15th day of December in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.”

REDUCTION OF CAPITAL.
——
In the matter of J. C. Hutton (New Zealand), Limited,
and in the matter of the Companies Act, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that an Order of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand dated the 18th day of February,
1938, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-
named company from £250,000 to £100,000, and the minute
approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital
of the company as altered, the several particulars required
by the said Act were registered by the Registrar of Companies
on the 25th day of February, 1938 : And further take notice
that the said minute is in the words and figures following :—
“ The capital of J. C. Hutton (New Zealand), Limited,
henceforth is £100,000, divided into 100,000 shares of £1
each reduced from £250,000 divided into 250,000 shares of
£1 each, by extinguishing the liability in respect of uncalled
capital to the extent of £1 per share upon 150,000 shares and
cancelling such shares. At the time of the registration of
this minute the sum of £1 is to be deemed paid upon each of
the said 100,000 shares.”

matter of THE WORLD’S UNIVERSAL CODE COMPANY,
LIMITED (in Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that the above-named company
in pursuance of section 226 (3) of the Companies Act,
1933, on the 28th February, 1938, passed an extraordinary
resolution for a creditors voluntary winding up.
The liquidator hereby fixes the 31st day of March, 1938,
as the day on or before which the creditors of the company
are to prove their debts or claims.

NOTICE is hereby given that I, the undersigned, EDNA
MAY DAVIE, of Auckland, in the Provincial District of
Auckland and Dominion of New Zealand, Spinster (heretofore
or sometime known as and whose certificate of birth is
registered as EDNA MAY JACKSON), being a British subject
have by deed-poll dated the 28th day of February, 1938, and
enrolled in the Supreme Court Office at Auckland, renounced
and abandoned my surname of Jackson and adopted and
assigned the name of Davie for all purposes whatsoever.

notice is hereby given that the resolution for a share-
holders voluntary winding up was passed at a meeting held
on the 28th day of February, 1938, and that SYDNEY ERNEST
BROWN, Public Accountant, Bethune’s Buildings, Featherston
Street, Wellington, was appointed liquidator.
Creditors and others having claims against the above
company are requested to forward same to the liquidator

Association (Incorporated), of John Street, Wellington,
a show association incorporated under the Incorporated
Societies Act, 1908, and also subject to the provisions of the
Wellington City Exhibition Grounds Act, 1927, and its amend-
ments, for an adjustment of its liabilities in connection with
two series of debentures offered to the public for subscription
and which were duly taken up by and issued to various
persons, the first series of such debentures being numbered 1
to 891 and being of debentures for various amounts making a
total value in all of £50,000, and the second series of such
debentures being numbered 1 to 49 (£100 each) and 1 to 65
(£10 each), making the total value of all the debentures of the
said second series of debentures £5,590, and making the total
value of the debentures of the said first and second series of
debentures together £55,590 in all : And upon reading the
statement of assets and liabilities filed with the said application
and the affidavits filed with the said application, and upon
