The Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22.-Prohibiting the Sale
within the City of Auckland and the Boroughs of Mount
Albert, Mount Eden, Newmarket, One Tree Hill, and
Onehunga of certain Goods comprised in the Trade of a
Fishmonger.
WHEREAS petitions in writing, signed by a majority
of the occupiers of all the fishmongers' shops within
each of the following districts--namely, the City of Auckland,
and the Boroughs of Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Newmarket,
One Tree Hill, and Onehunga--have been forwarded to me,
desiring that the sale of certain goods comprised in the trade
of a fishmonger--namely, fresh fish, smoked fish, shell-fish,
and crayfish--be prohibited during such time as the said
shops are required to be closed in pursuance of the Shops
and Offices Act, 1921-22:
And whereas I, Hubert Thomas Armstrong, Minister of
Labour, am satisfied that the sale of the said goods is comprised
in the trade of a fishmonger within each of the said districts,
and that the signatures to such petitions represent a majority
of the occupiers of all the said shops within each of the said
districts:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 33 of the said
Act, I do hereby direct that on and after the 31st day of
January, 1938, the sale of the said goods within each of the
following districts--namely, the City of Auckland, and the
Boroughs of Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Newmarket, One
Tree Hill, and Onehunga--shall be and is hereby prohibited
as follows: During the period from the last Sunday in
September in any year to the last Sunday in April in the
next succeeding year, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays,
Thursdays, and Saturdays after the hour of 7 p.m.; during
the remainder of each year on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednes-
days, and Thursdays after the hour of 7 p.m.

hours of Fishmongers' Shops within the combined District
of Auckland.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority
of the occupiers of all the fishmongers' shops within
the combined district of Auckland, comprising the City of
Auckland, the Boroughs of Birkenhead, Devonport, Mount
Albert, Mount Eden, New Lynn, Newmarket, Northcote,
Onehunga, One Tree Hill, Otahuhu, and Takapuna, and the
Town Districts of Ellerslie, Glen Eden, Henderson, and
Papatoetoe has been forwarded to me desiring that all such
shops within the said combined district shall be closed in the
evening of working-days as follows: During the period from
the last Sunday in September in any year to the last Sunday
in April in the next succeeding year, on Mondays, Tuesdays,
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 7 p.m.; during
the remainder of each year, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wed-
nesdays, and Thursdays at 7 p.m.:
And whereas I, Hubert Thomas Armstrong, Minister of
Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition
represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops
within the said combined district:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 32 of the Shops
and Offices Act, 1921-22, I do hereby direct that on and
after the 31st day of January, 1938, all the said shops within
the said combined district shall be closed accordingly.
The notice gazetted on the 28th day of November, 1935,
fixing the closing hours of fishmongers' shops within the
combined district of Auckland shall be and is hereby cancelled
as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the City of Wellington for
the purposes of a Post-office.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute
a certain public work--to wit, the construction of a post-
office--and for the purposes of such public work the land
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And
notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so
required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Wel-
lington, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or by the
taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication of
this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 95744,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks III and IV, Waoku
Survey District, for the Purposes of a Native School.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute
a certain public work--to wit, the construction of a Native
school--and for the purposes of such public work the land
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at
Omanaia and is there open for inspection; and that all
persons affected by the execution of the said public work or
by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said public
work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in
writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the
first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
4 acres 0 roods 25 perches.
Being portion of Waima North A 6F Block.
Situated in Blocks III and IV, Waoku Survey District

at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is
hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to
be taken is deposited in the post-office at Greenhills and is
there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by

said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
