Notice of Intention to take Land in Block IV, Tapapa Survey District, for the Purposes of a Native School.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a Native school—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Mata-mata, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 2 acres 3 roods 12·5 perches.
Being portion of Okauia 4E Section 1 Block.
Situated in Block IV, Tapapa Survey District. (S.O. 29264.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 98012, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Classification of Road in Ashburton County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve of the Main Highways Board’s proposed alteration in the classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Ashburton County.

SCHEDULE.
ASHBURTON COUNTY.
ROAD classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 7 tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which when carrying a load has an axle weight of not more than 4½ tons on any one axle:—
Christchurch–Dunedin Main Highway No. 101 (all that portion from the north-eastern boundary of Ashburton County to Hinds).

Te Kuiti–Bulls via Taumarunui Main Highway No. 23 (all that portion from its junction with the Wanganui–Horopito Main Highway No. 48 to the north-western boundary of Ohakune Borough).

Inangahua Junction – Weheka Main Highway No. 102 (all that portion from its junction with the Arthurs Pass–Kumara Main Highway No. 106 to its junction with the Stafford Loop Main Highway No. 627).

Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby declare the areas described in the Schedule hereto to be closely populated localities for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein, shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within Waitotara County—
All that area adjoining and comprising Springvale Road from the north-western boundary of Wanganui City as now constituted, to a point 24 chains measured along the said road in a north-westerly direction from the said boundary.
SITUATED within Wanganui County—
All that area adjoining and comprising the Auckland–Wellington via Taranaki Main Highway No. 1 from the southern boundary of Wanganui City, as now constituted, to a point 5 chains measured along the said main highway in a south-easterly direction from its junction with the Wanganui Airport Main Highway, a distance of approximately 48 chains.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within Hawke’s Bay County—
All that area adjoining and comprising the Napier–Hastings via Fernhill Main Highway No. 28, commencing at a point 3 chains measured in a north-westerly direction along the main highway from a point opposite the main entrance to the Hastings Memorial Hospital and terminating at the north-western boundary of Hastings Borough, as now constituted, a distance of approximately 34 chains.
