Notice of Intention to take Land in Block IX, Maungakawa Survey District, and Block XII, Komakorau Survey District, for the
Purposes of a Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a
certain public work-to wit, the construction of a road-and for the purposes of such public work the land
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the
land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Eureka and is there open for inspection; and that all
persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any
well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing,
and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.
IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby declare
the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the
intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein,
shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE.
Situated within Inangahua County.- All that area at Reefton bounded by a line commencing
at the junction of Crampton Road with Boundary Street and proceeding thence in a southerly direction
along the western side of Crampton Road to the northern bank of the Inangahua River; thence in an easterly
direction along the northern bank of the Inangahua River to the eastern side of Donovan Street; thence in a
northerly direction along the eastern side of Donovan Street to its junction with Boundary Street; thence in
a westerly direction along the northern side of Boundary Street to its junction with Crampton Road, the area
being inclusive of the said roads and portions of roads to the extent above described.

Situated within Wai Kouaiti County- All that area adjoining and comprising the Dunedin - Port
Chalmers Main Highway No. 225 from the north-eastern boundary of West Harbour Borough, as now constituted, to the western boundary of Port Chalmers Borough,
as now constituted, a distance of approximately 1 mile 27 chains.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby exclude
the roads described in the Schedule hereto from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.
SCHEDULE.
Situated within Waverley Town District- Auckland - Wellington via Taranaki Main Highway No. 1
(all that portion from the western boundary of Waverley Town District, as now constituted, to a point 5 chains
measured along the road in an easterly direction from the junction of the main highway and Wilson Road, a
distance of approximately 31 chains).
Cheater Road (all that portion from its junction with Smith Road to the northern boundary of Waverley Town
District, as now constituted, a distance of approximately 20 chains).
Gloage Road (all that portion from its junction with Fookes Road to the northern boundary of Waverley Town District, as now constituted, a distance of approximately 10 chains).
