THE POST AND TELEGRAPH (STAFF) REGULATIONS 1925,
AMENDMENT No. 12.
NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the Regulations
Act, 1936, of the making of the above-entitled regulations under the above-entitled Act.
Serial number : 288/1937.
Date of enactment : 8th day of December, 1937.
Copies can be purchased at the Government Printing and
Stationery Office, Lambton Quay, Wellington. Price for cash
with order 1d., plus postage 1d. extra. Prices for quantities

Child Welfare Act, 1925.

I, Peter Fraser, Minister of Education, do hereby appoint
the following persons as Honorary Child Welfare Officers for
the purposes of the said Act for the period ending 31st
December, 1937:—

Appointment of Officer for Purposes of Part II of the Fisheries
Act, 1908.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-
General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the
Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and
Documents Act, 1919, appointed
Leonard John Reynolds, of Reporoa,
to be an Officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-
mentioned Act in respect of the Rotorua Acclimatization
District.

1908.

General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the

John James Miller, of Inglewood,

District.

Appointments and Promotions of Officers of the N.Z. Regular
Forces.
Department of Defence,
Wellington, 6th December, 1937.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to
approve of the following appointments and promotions
of officers of the New Zealand Regular Forces, with effect
from the 1st November, 1937.
Major W. I. K. Jennings, D.S.O., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes
the appointment of General Staff Officer (Training and
Operations) G.H.Q., is appointed General Staff Officer,
1st Grade, Army Headquarters, and is promoted to the
rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.
Major N. W. McD. Weir, N.Z. Staff Corps, to be Lieutenant-
Colonel, and is graded General Staff Officer, 1st Grade.
The undermentioned relinquish their present appointments
and are appointed as follows:—
Major W. G. Stevens, Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery,
is seconded for duty to the Prime Minister's Depart-
ment as Secretary of the Organization for National
Security and Secretary of the Council of Defence, and
is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.
Major E. T. Rowllings, N.Z. Staff Corps, to be Deputy-
Adjutant-General, and is promoted to the rank of
Lieutenant-Colonel.
Major L. Potter, N.Z. Staff Corps, is granted the temporary
rank of Lieutenant-Colonel whilst employed as General
Staff Officer, 1st Grade.
Major K. L. Stewart, O.B.E., N.Z. Staff Corps, is granted the
temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel whilst employed
as General Staff Officer, 1st Grade, Southern Military
District.
Captain G. Dittmer, M.B.E., M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, to be
Major.
Captain H. M. Foster, N.Z. Staff Corps, to be Major.
Captain F. L. Hunt, N.Z. Staff Corps, to be Major.
Captain A. Bongard, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, to be Major.
Captain S. M. Satterthwaite, N.Z. Staff Corps, to be Major.
Captain G. H. Clifton, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, to be Major
and is graded General Staff Officer, 2nd Grade.
Captain (Brevet Major) A. J. Edney, R.E., is appointed
Chief Engineer, N.Z. Military Forces, in addition to his
present appointment.
Lieutenant A. P. McCormack, N.Z. Staff Corps, to be Captain.
Lieutenant G. H. Heal, N.Z. Staff Corps, to be Captain.
Lieutenant J. P. Joyce, D.C.M., Regiment of Royal N.Z.
Artillery, to be Captain.
Lieutenant R. J. Eyre, N.Z. Staff Corps, to be Captain.
Lieutenant J. R. Page, Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, to
be Captain.
Lieutenant H. G. Wooller, N.Z. Staff Corps, to be Captain.
Lieutenant R. C. Queree, Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery,
to be Captain.
