Office of Air Secretary, Air Department, added to Administrative Division.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this lst day of December, 1937.
Present:
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection two of section eighteen of the Public Service Act, 1912, it is enacted that the Commissioners may, whenever it appears advantageous to the Public Service so to do, certify to the Governor-General that it is expedient to add any office to or to abolish any office from the Administrative Division of the Public Service of New Zealand; and the Governor-General in Council may, upon such certificate, add any office to the Administrative Division or abolish any office therein;
And whereas the Public Service Commissioners have certified to the Governor-General that it is expedient to add the Office of Air Secretary, Air Department, to the said Administrative Division:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the said section and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby add the office of the Air Secretary, Air Department, to the said Administrative Division.

Appointing a Member of the Patea Harbour Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS it is provided by subsection (3) of section 38 of the Harbours Act, 1923, that in the event of an extraordinary vacancy in the office of a non-elective member of a Harbour Board, the Governor-General shall, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place:
And whereas Adolph Theodor Christensen, a non-elective member of the Patea Harbour Board, has resigned, and an extraordinary vacancy in the membership of the Board has been created, and it is desirable to appoint a qualified person in his place:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby appoint Frank Parsons to be a member of the Patea Harbour Board in the place of the said Adolph Theodor Christensen, resigned.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this llth day of December, 1937.

Declaring Land in Auckland Land District to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as "the said land") is Crown land not acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and is adjacent to certain land acquired under the said Act known as the Rangitaiki Settlement, and can conveniently be disposed of therewith:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and five of the said Act, and on the recommendation of the Dominion Land Purchase Board, and after considering the report of the Auckland District Land Board, do hereby declare the said land to be subject to the said Act to the intent that it shall hereupon he deemed to be portion of the said Rangitaiki Settlement and may be disposed of accordingly.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
All those areas of land containing by admeasurement a total of 38 acres 3 roods 30 perches, more or less, being Sections 1 and 2, Block III, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 8th day of December, 1937.

Notice of Intention to issue an Order in Council revoking the Reservation over Part of the Mataura Domain, Southland Land District.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section forty-one of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time by Order in Council, but subject to compliance with the requirements of subsection two of section seven of the said Act, declare that the land comprised in a public domain or part thereof shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act; and, further, may declare either that such land shall be a public reserve for the purposes of Part I of the said Act, or Crown land available for disposal by way of sale for cash under the Land Act, 1924:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is part of the Mataura Domain, but is not required for domain purposes, and it is expedient to revoke the reservation over the said land:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby give notice, pursuant to subsection two of section seven of the said Act, that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of section forty-one of the said Act declaring that the part of the Mataura Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act, and shall be deemed to be Crown land available for disposal by way of sale for cash under the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.-PART OF MATAURA DOMAIN. SECTIONS 39, 40, and 41, Block XVII, Town of Mataura Bridge: Area, 13 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 8th day of December, 1937.

Setting apart Crown Land under Section 161 of the Land Act, 1924.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-one of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT. SECTION 6, Block IX, Opoe Survey District: Area, 26 acres 1 rood 1 perch.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 8th day of December, 1937.
