Authorizing Barbara Hope Deans, Married Woman, of Taueru, Masterton, to erect certain Electric Lines in Portion of the County of Masterton.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of December, 1937.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize Barbara Hope Deans, of Taueru, Masterton, married woman (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”) to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on the following conditions.


CONDITIONS.

  1. Purpose of Lines.

THE said lines may be used for lighting, power, and heating purposes.

  1. License to be subject to Regulations.

The license hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 1935, the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.

The conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this license except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

  1. System of Supply.

The system of supply shall be classified under paragraphs (a) and (f) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935.

  1. Voltage.

Electrical energy shall be transmitted at a pressure of 11,000 volts between phases and transformed down to 400 volts between phases or 230 volts between any phase and earth or neutral.

  1. Duration of License.

Unless sooner lawfully determined, this license shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1942, or until the Wairarapa Electric-power Board is authorized by license to erect electric lines generally within an area which includes the licensee’s premises, whichever is the earlier.


SCHEDULE.

LINES adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for the transmission of electrical energy commencing from the Wairarapa Electric-power Board’s transmission line at a point in Lot 3, D.P. 7674, of Sections 4 and 6, Block II, Otahoua Survey District, and proceeding in an easterly direction generally through Section 7, Block II, across a public road and through that land described as part Section 5, Block VI, Section 552, Block VII, L.T.P. A/2001, Block III, and again across a public road to the licensee’s premises on Section 553, Block VII; all being situated in the Otahoua Survey District in the Land District of Wellington and shown by means of a red line on plan marked P.W.D. 97766, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Revoking a License authorizing the Havelock North Town Board to use Water from the Maraetotara Stream for the Purpose of generating Electricity, and to erect Electric Lines within the Havelock North Town District and Portion of the Hawke’s Bay County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of December, 1937.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and with the consent of the licensee, doth hereby revoke the license dated the twenty-second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of the same month, authorizing the Havelock North Town Board to use water from the Maraetotara Stream for the purpose of generating electricity, and to erect electric lines within the Havelock North Town District and portion of the Hawke’s Bay County.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of December, 1937.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirty of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council, on petition in that behalf signed by a majority of the persons qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers list for any proposed district, constitute and declare any area of land of not less than one thousand acres a rabbit district under and for the purpose of Part II of the said Act:

And whereas in pursuance of the provisions of the said section thirty of the said Act, a petition has been received praying that the area of land described in the Schedule hereto be constituted and declared a rabbit district under
