INGLEWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Inglewood County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and principal and other charges on the Inglewood County Sealing Loan £10,000, 1937, for the purpose of meeting the cost of sealing approximately forty miles of roads, the said Inglewood County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-half (½d.) of a penny in the pound sterling, on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Inglewood, and that such a special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Inglewood was hereunto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Inglewood County Council in the presence of—

PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned Duncan Milford McLennan, of Patearoa, Miner, hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Locality of the race, and of its starting and terminal points; also description of land traversed—e.g., unalienated Crown land, private land, or otherwise: Commencing at Deep Gully Creek, Block X, Upper Taieri District, about 40 chains above Deep Gully Ford; thence in a southerly direction about 400 yards to intake at Nameless Creek; and thence in a westerly direction 100 yards to termination on area applied for by applicant.
Length and intended course of race: 400 yards south, 100 yards west.
Points of intake: Two, one each from Deep Gully Creek and Nameless Creek.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Seven days; £5.
Mean depth and breadth: 1 ft. by 2 ft.
Number of heads to be diverted: Six.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Mining.
Proposed term of license: Twenty-one years.
