Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position. The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and proportionate part of insurance on buildings.

SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS (SETTLEMENT) LAND.
Taranaki County.—Paritutu Survey District.—Huatoki Settlement.
SECTION 30s: Area, 10 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £370*; half-yearly rent, £9 5s.
- Capital value includes the sum of £103 10s., being part valuation of improvements.
Weighted with £330 for improvements, comprising dwelling and sheds. This sum is payable in cash, or by half-yearly instalments of principal and interest of £12 17s. 5d. each over a period of twenty-one years.
This property is situated about three miles from the New Plymouth Post-office and one mile from the Vogeltown School. Access is by tar-sealed and metalled road. About 2½ acres in fair pasture, the balance being badly infested with gorse. The section is subdivided into three paddocks.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale for cash by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, at 2 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, 25th November, 1937, under the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and the Land Act, 1924.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Waimate Borough.—Waimate Survey District.—Gorge Road Settlement.
SECTION 9, Block, XIV: Area, 1 rood 10·6 perches. Upset price, £20.
The section is situated on Massey Street within Waimate Borough, distant half a mile from Waimate Post-office, Railway-station, and School; access is by good metalled and formed road. No water laid on, but can be connected with Borough high-pressure supply. Area flat; soil good medium loam, resting on clay formation. Fenced at front, back, and one side, but it is of little value and is included in the price of the land. Land suitable for building-site or small-fruit growing.
Terms of Sale.
Cash.—One-fifth of the purchase-money on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, together with £1 Crown grant fee, within thirty days thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited and the sale of the land declared null and void.

APPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of a new certificate of title in the name of ROY HOOK, of Shannon, Contractor, for: (a) All that parcel of land containing 4 acres 1 rood and 35 perches, situate in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Suburban Sections 549, 550, 551, and 552 of the Township of Shannon, deposited in the District Land Registry Office as No. 369, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 64, folio 220 (Wellington Registry); (b) All that parcel of land containing 7 acres 1 rood 39·8 perches, more or less, situate in the Borough of Shannon being part Manawatu-Kukutauaki 2D 2 and being Lots 1 to 13 (inclusive), Lots 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and Lot 31 on Plan No. 7175, and being the balance of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 359, folio 270 (Wellington Registry); and for a Provisional Mortgage No. 221971 from ROY HOOK to GEORGE EDWARD HOOK over both of the above-described lands; and evidence having been lodged of the loss or destruction of the said certificates of title and memorandum of mortgage, I hereby give notice that I will issue the new certificates of title and a provisional memorandum of mortgage as requested after fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.
