Waimarino County.—Manganui Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for three years.*)

Section 26, Block XVI: Area, 92 acres 0 roods 2 perches. Capital value, £50; half-yearly rent, £1.

*The exemption from payment of rent is granted on the condition that the lessee effects permanent improvements to a value of not less than £15 annually during the exemption period.

Weighted with £44 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising 20 acres of felling, 2 acres stumped, 8 chains of fencing, and a whare of two rooms (in poor condition) with iron roof and chimney.

This section is situated one mile from the Horopito Post-office, Railway-station, and School, and access is by metalled road. The section comprises level to easy undulating land, altitude about 2,100 ft., with soil of poor quality, light volcanic mixture, resting on a clay formation, and is watered by permanent streams. Approximately 20 acres have been felled and are now in poor grass, whilst the balance of the area is in milled bush consisting mainly of birch and tawhero.
