WAIAPU COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waiapu County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on the Waiapu County Council (Tokomaru Harbour Board) Wharf and Approaches Loan of £23,000, 1936, authorized to be raised by the Waiapu County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of rebuilding the wharf and approaches thereto at Tokomaru Bay, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual rateable value) of all rateable property in the Waiapu County (Tokomaru Harbour) Rating District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of, and a correct extract from, the minutes of the proceedings of the Waiapu County Council at the meeting held on the 19th January, 1937.

FRANKLIN ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION LEVYING RATE.
THAT in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Franklin Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, sinking fund, and other charges on the Special Loan of £75,000, 1936, authorized to be raised by the Franklin Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, and the Finance Act, 1936 (No. 2), for the purpose of supplying and distributing electric energy for the benefit of the constituent districts of Franklin County, part Raglan County, Pukekohe Borough, Waiuku Town, and Tuakau Town comprising the Franklin Electric-power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and its Amendments, the said Franklin Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of four twenty-sevenths (4/27ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the constituent districts of Franklin County, part Raglan County, Pukekohe Borough, Waiuku Town, and Tuakau Town comprising the Franklin Electric-power District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Carried at a meeting of the said Board held on the 26th January, 1937.

AUCKLAND SPEEDWAYS, LIMITED.
IN LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of Auckland Speedways, Limited (in Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed on the 18th day of January, 1937 :—
“ Resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Thomas William Maben, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator of the company.”
The winding-up of the said company is a members’ voluntary winding-up, and the necessary declaration of solvency has been filed with the Registrar of Companies.

Notice of voluntary winding-up resolution pursuant to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 19th day of January, 1937, the following special resolution was passed :—
“ That John Fowler and Co. (New Zealand), Limited, be wound up voluntarily.”

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY.
NOTICE is hereby given that REESE BROS. AND UNWIN LIMITED, has changed its name to DESMOND UNWIN, LIMITED, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

ALEXANDRA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Alexandra Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,000 (seven thousand pounds) authorized to be raised by the Alexandra Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the installation of sewers, the said Alexandra Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 11½d. in the pound upon the rateable value (based on the annual value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Alexandra ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I, WILLIAM JOHN RUSSELL, Town Clerk of the Borough of Alexandra, do hereby declare the foregoing to be a true copy of such resolution passed by the Alexandra Borough Council at a special meeting held on the 21st day of January, 1937, and appearing in the minute-book of the Council under that date.

ALEXANDRA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Alexandra Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000 (one thousand pounds) authorized to be raised by the Alexandra Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to ratepayers for the installation of drainage, the said Alexandra Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4d. in the pound upon the rateable value (based on the annual value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Alexandra ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I, WILLIAM JOHN RUSSELL, Town Clerk of the Borough of Alexandra, do hereby declare the foregoing to be a true copy of such resolution passed by the Alexandra Borough Council at a special meeting held on the 21st day of January, 1937, and appearing in the minute-book of the Council under that date.
