Mangawai Harbour to the road forming part of the north-eastern boundary of Section 12, Parish of Mangawai; thence along that road and the eastern boundaries of Sections 15, 31, 16, and 78, Parish of Mangawai, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the southern boundary of Section 78 aforesaid and the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 50 to the eastern boundary of Section 10, Oruawharo Parish; thence along that boundary to the road forming the southern boundary of the said Section 10; thence along the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18, Oruawharo Parish, to the road forming the south-western boundary of the said Section 18; thence along the road forming the south-western boundaries of Sections 18, 21, 22, 29, 30, and 31, Oruawharo Parish, to the south-eastern boundary of Section 193 of the said parish; thence along the south-eastern boundary of that section to the Hakuru River; thence down the Hakuru, Topuni, and Oruawharo Rivers to Kaipara Harbour; thence by Kaipara Harbour to its mouth, the place of commencement, and including therein all the adjacent islands.

Revoking Notice exempting Crown Lands from certain Provisions of the Mining Act, 1926.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section seven of the Mining Act, 1926, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby as from the date of the publication hereof in the Gazette revoke the notice dated the fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 17 of the tenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, on page 481, exempting Crown lands from certain provisions of the Mining Act, 1926: Also the notice dated the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 33 of the twelfth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, on page 1251, exempting Crown lands from certain provisions of the Mining Act, 1926: Also the notice dated the twenty-sixth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 8 of the second day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, on page 168, exempting Crown lands from certain provisions of the Mining Act, 1926.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of January, 1937.

Exempting Crown Lands from certain Provisions of the Mining Act, 1926.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section twenty of the Mining Act, 1926, it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, exempt any Crown lands from mining, or from any specified mining purpose, or from that Act, or any specified provisions of that Act, and that the lands to which any such notice relates shall be specified therein by words of particular description: And whereas it is desirable that the Crown land specified in the Schedule hereto shall, subject to all existing registered mining privileges, be exempted from the provisions of subsection (b) of section sixty-six of the Mining Act, 1926:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Mining Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities in anyway enabling me in that behalf, do hereby exempt the land particularly described in the Schedule hereto from the provisions of subsection (b) of section sixty-six of the Mining Act, 1926, subject to all existing registered mining privileges; and do also hereby declare that such exemption shall take effect from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette,
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District bounded on the north-east by Homestead Creek from the point where it crosses the main Blenheim-West Coast Road to a point 3 miles up Homestead Creek; thence westerly on a line bearing 273° 30' for approximately 1 mile 46 chains to its intersection with the south-western boundary of Section 5, Block XI, Howard Survey District; thence south-easterly on a line bearing 141° for 2 miles 40 chains; thence due south for 40 chains; thence due west for 3 miles; thence north-westerly along a right line to its intersection with the point where the Gowan River leaves Lake Rotoroa; thence along the right bank of the Gowan River to its junction with the Buller River; thence generally in a north-easterly direction along the left bank of the Buller River to Harley's Bridge; thence along the main Blenheim-West Coast Road to its intersection with Homestead Creek, the point of commencement: as the same is delineated on plan marked N. 12/38, lodged in the office of the Mines Department at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Notifying the proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the North Auckland Land District for other Land.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
North Auckland Land District.-Mangonui County.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being Section 6, Block I, Takahue Survey District, and formerly being old river-bed and portion of O.L.C. 159 contained in Deeds Register, Volume 2H, folio 39. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 36/1070, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
North Auckland Land District.-Mangonui County.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres 0 roods 14 perches, more or less, being portion of O.L.C. 193, shown on plan numbered 23300, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and being portion of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 625, folio 61 (Auckland Registry): Bounded commencing at the northernmost corner of part O.L.C. 193, as shown on plan numbered 11347, deposited as aforesaid; towards the west, south-west, and north generally by the right bank of the old course of the Awanui River to its intersection with the right bank of the new course of the Awanui River; thence by right lines bearing 197° 58' 30", distance 351·8 links, bearing 193° 53', distance 457·6 links, bearing 198° 7' 40", distance 413·7 links, to survey peg numbered XIV; thence by a right line bearing 292° 20' to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid admeasurements a little more or less.
